You all should swing by the State Fair to pickup the new Tommie tote bags. Once we go DI, these might become collectors' items.

"Blessed are the Nerdy"? Um...sure! You flatter yourself! I can hardly wait to share this with my friend that went to Carleton.

Considering Macalester is a couple blocks east and Carleton is just down 35E this is a stupid tagline.

I'm guessing my dog would love a bag...."Blessed are the Turdy!"
Hope they're biodegradable!

I don't think either Mac or Carleton is into the "blessed" part of that phrase.  :)

Will we have to pay for a subscription again this season to watch St John's home games?

I didn't realize "nerdy" was trademarked.
Nobody is implying it is! 8-)

So then what's your issue exactly?
Hmmm... intentionally obtuse or exhibit A? 8-) ;)

Maybe this is a little too "meta" for me. It's a Catholic school, thus the "blessed" part. It's an academically potent university, thus the "nerdy" part. I don't really understand your issue.

I guess nerds don't go to St Thomas which is news to me, with a Philosophy degree, and the various engineering degree friends I had

It's interesting. I lived in Morrison Hall my senior year. One roommate was an engineering major who went on to do a master's at Stanford. The other roommate did actuarial science and then did a master's at Chicago. I have a PhD. Looking back, I think we were the epitome of nerdy.

No real need to look back, is there Rev?

Changing gears to the NFL for a moment. I understand the the Wilfs are from New York and probably have spent about 5 minutes in a natural environment but this is laughable.
Those aren't lakes they're collection / runoff ponds and you don't feel like you're in the woods...you're in f-ing Eagan!

From Charley Walters:
The Vikings announced their move of headquarters from Eden Prairie to Eagan two years ago. Zygi Wilf said he has been happy in Eagan.

"Very much so — I think it's a great community, great county, great location," he said. "As a real estate developer, that's very important.

"It's close to the airport, close to both St. Paul and Minneapolis, the Mall of America, and yet when you're out here, you feel like you're in the woods. You don't have to go far to be at a lake. We have several lakes on the premises. This is going to be a destination area for everyone in the Twin Cities area to come and enjoy."
