2 pair of twin juniors that played defense exited the program before the start of this season...right!

Wait, they left school like dropped out or are currently at UST but decided to not play football? Four guys who were starters/major contributors who are incoming Jrs are not on the team and Charley Walters or Patrick Reusse didn't write about it? Something doesn't smell right.

I don't know any details about the reasoning or current status so anything beyond that they are no longer on the team would be speculation on my part.
One was a starter (Sam Gerrety) others had a backup role and would have been in line for PT (Weismans, Shea Gerrety, Nick Robinson, maybe another guy I've forgotten?)

So I heard from my neighbor's cousin's husband, who played for St. Olaf in the 80's, that President Anderson of St. Olaf is interested in interviewing these young men to find out what they knew and when they knew it.    Conspiracy!

I was surprised to recall he was 1st team. I guess the interception count will do that, but he struggled in coverage at times (SJU exploited him pretty bad, if I recall)
