That Rachel Blount can really turn a phrase, here's the part of the story I like best ...

With the importance of the game this weekend, but recognizing that some high school teams don't have lights and that it is getting cold out, how early is everyone planning to come this weekend?

This year my wife and I left for Moorhead (2.75 hours+lunch) at the same time we left for homecoming (25 minutes away) and got better seats at Concordia.  That is certainly one bad thing about being a Johnnie fan.

Why get a seat? You'll be standing and cheering the entire game anyway. Touchdowns by the Johnnie O, sacks and forced turnovers by the Johnnie D...yup, you'll be standing the whole time. You might as well hang out on the track. That's where I'll be.
Nice day, huh?

If someone brings a chainsaw, we could watch from the comfort of Finsleft's RV ;D

You know Duff, the view's not too bad from there.

Hey......

I'd love to get there at 9:00 at the Prep school..But as has been well documented the Ritz's daughter hockey season is taking priority!!!

Mrs. Ritz will be hung over, as she is slowly becoming a Hamm's addict----therefore, I pull hockey duty..Luckily practice is at 8:00.....

The for the Package of Ritz arriving around 11:00-----

Duff--- A chainsaw will not work on the Pace Arrow!!!  You'll need a torch cutter, some gauze pads, and some 30 weight ball bearings

It's all about ball bearings these days!!

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

From the Trib:
"And at a place like this unique little school, where there is little numerical distance between a player's IQ and his weight, many coaches would resign themselves to mediocrity."

They're going to get their asses kicked if they all weigh close to 70 lbs.!

Adapted from the Trib:

"And at a place like this unique little school, where there is little numerical distance bewteen a player's IQ and the number of excuses going to be made after the MonkeyStomp on Saturday, they now realize they are a BAD team!!!"

I had to laugh at that article. You could do a find-and-replace and substitute any other MIAC school for St. Olaf and the academic descriptions would ring true. Not to take anything away from the Oles, but they're not the only "smart kids who happen to be good at football" school around. Hell, that's DIII by definition. But hey, it's a great article and it's nice to see St. Olaf -- any MIAC school, really -- get pub.

Yeah, where's STO's Draddy Trophy finalist?   ;D

Way to go Mr. Hawn!

It is nice to have a conference of academically strong schools.  That is what DIII was really meant to be.  Some other conferences don't fit that mold.

ritz72

Being a 3rd team all conference pick in Florida-----$10 (gift cetificate)
Starting as a freshman at St. Olaf ---- $24,000 (minus work study)
starting of the season 7-0 ---- $0
Walking off the field after getting Monkeystomped-----priceless

Most things you can buy, but for anything else, there's the St. John's FB Team!
