Yeah, the Centennial has "always" been in the South Region -- by that I am thinking back to 1994, well predating the current playoff system.

The MAC moved from the South to the East some years ago, but after the current playoff system went into play.

Opening kickoff, muffed punt, 2 ineligible lineman downfield on a 2 pt conversion and 3 missed xtra point kicks. Something is wrong w/ attention to detail inC Collegeville.
I actually listened to the game It's a shame that you can't get it on video like I do for the Toms I put it on my TV it's like actually watching a real televised game the production quality is gotten very good overall...I think the Johnny's will do fine they will win out. As a Tommie fan it kinda hurts but I will be following them through the playoffs. Just to let you know I was watching the Tommie game and listening to the Johns...😁

Has anybody heard this that the NFL since the NCAA changes is trying to get the ability to recruit right out of high school and start its own farm system I was told this by someone who I think is pretty informed but it sounds crazy?

In the world of hunting one usually goes to the natural habitat of the species one is looking for. If you are duck hunting you go to the swamp. If you are deer hunting you go to the woods. If you are pheasant hunting you go to the prairie. When a football team is looking for specialists like kickers, punters, long snapper one would think to search where these elusive species train and practice their craft. Seek and ye shall find.
https://kohlskicking.com/camps

No need to go to Kohl's to look for talent (besides a D3 school is going to have a hard time enticing the top Kohl's specialists to come), http://specialteamsfootballacademy.com/ is local and Chris Husby has produced a number of fine specialists in the area who are with D1, D2, and D3 programs around the country.  Almost all of the top metro specialists train with him.  It takes time, commitment, and a bit of money to hone your skills as a specialist.  Almost no college program knows how to train and evaluate specialists.  We are fortunate to have Chris and his staff in our region.
OMG! Chris Husby had a camp at SJU in July 2019  :o
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

That would make little sense for the NFL to spend money on a farm system when they have a FREE farm system with the college game and a better farm system than they could develop. The NFL has had many opportunities to partner with people on a farm system and have passed each time because of cost and liability. Add in the increased risk of injury with HS kids playing against grown men. Just don't see it happening. IMHO

They would get access to players who the big universities can't even fake eligibility for.  They could also run football full time, like the baseball summer leagues, and get players ready to go in one or two years.

Dunno if they are doing it by I can see an argument for it.

Vikings look like they studied the SJU tape a little too closely yesterday

Baseball's farm system is built on their draft though. I don't see the NFL wanting to draft 18 year old kids straight out of HS when it had enough problems projecting them at 21 & 22 after 3-4 years in college. And if you're a HS kid you're not joining a farm system without getting drafted first and some sort of signing bonus and contract. And as has been stated, right now they don't have to spend a penny on the current training ground.

Well, who knows. But CT knows people.

Vikings are about to choke the lead away. Looks like this year they'll lose early in the playoffs. The won't do their best to lead us on like a strumpet.

Ha!  Good luck. The Vikes just shanked a punt to give the Chiefs the ball on the V45 with 2 minutes remaining and just needing a single point to win.  Classic Vikings.

SUMMIT!!!!!

I wonder if the NY Jets will petition to join the MIAC--- they could hold their own vs  the lower echelon & Mac. But i do think my Fins can lose out and still get #1 draft pick. Toms, Wolves & Dolphins win, Vikes & Johns lose... damn Wild ruined a perfect weekend for me.

Does anyone seriously think the Gophers will stay within 18 of Penn State?

I hope so...we're going down to Iowa City the following weekend. It would be a once in a lifetime to have the Gophers come into Kinnick undefeated!

I think the Gophers are in real danger of getting monkeystomped but no worse.  PSU's offense is not a mega-dangerous outfit but their D is pretty good.  If the Gophers can score a bit and put PSU on the back foot then I think they have a chance of upsetting things.  Plus the game is a MN home game so that helps as well.  A high-scoring affair gives MN a chance.

I wouldn't put money on the Gophers but I would allow myself to dream a little.  While I was rowing the boat.

EDIT: I unfortunately think that the Gophers will lose three of their final four games and end up 9-3.  Not bad.  Top of the middle or bottom of the top?
