EDIT:  The reference is to Garo Yepremian who, incidentally, would fit in quite well at the moment.

I'm pretty sure you would be ecstatic with someone with Garo's PAT stats as he was 444 out 464 for his career - which is over 95% success rate. It's too bad he is only remembered for his gaffe in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, and even though he died in 2015, he STILL might be better than the current Johnnie kicker! :o ::)

Yeah, well.  We're two-point sweethearts I'm sure.  A little birdie tells me it is two points all day, every day.  Behind the back?  Can you imagine the riots if we did that?

Well it was no small gaffe.  John Wilkes Booth was a loving father.  Damned shame about that one gaffe which spoiled it all.

"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Since Garo's 'gaffe' only spoiled the shut-out, but in no way endangered the win, I think 'gaffe' is appropriate.

No small gaffe? Really, you are going to compare a botched field goal (that didn't even cost them the game) to John Wilkes Booth killing Lincoln? Hmmmm

I guess I don't understand the purpose - is it your attempt at some bad humor?

It is widely acknowledged that the MIAC Board covers a wide range of topics and includes the following
Beer
Fishing- Ice, Lake,River (also known as fly fishing)
Movie Trivia
Presidential assassins of the 19th & 20th century
Murderous dictators
Religious cult leaders
UST students daddy's cars
UST female students low moral standards
Soybean & corn harvest in Minnesota & central Iowa
Hair Bands of the 80's
Tailgating
Fruitcake
Homemade beer,wine,cider,moonshine
And many more I can't think of currently. This is what makes the MIAC board. If we wanted dull statistic filled conversations we'd go the the UMAC Board. ;D

The article says that the Tommies were voted out of the MIAC.  Technically, that isn't true.

a good overview  and update on where things stand:

Good link. Interesting that Douple, the Summit commissioner, visited St. Thomas during the Final Four which was pretty early (at least publicly) in the MIAC controversy. They've probably been eying this market for a while.
