Doh!  The Johnnies are going to California. I had to switch to trying to follow updates on my phone and I thought the game was over. Great play, Chapman. Looking forward to next weekend.

I actually like the team playing is Sunny Socal.  Warm weather helps our skill players.

Wow. Chapman/Linfield was 48-48 in regulation. I'm wondering if both run a spread offense too (e.g. Aurora/SJU). Johnnies defense might be tired again next week.

Chapman did not run the spread -one back in backfield-who can really run!

Just spent 5 minutes searching for the MIAC board until I saw it pinned on top. SJU education at work there.

Chapman game was fun as hell to watch. Lot less stressful watching that type of game if it's not the Johnnies involved. Starting QB got dinged up late, right, and didn't return? Although backup did incredible job, including a fourth-down TD.

Congrats Johnnies

I knew you'd do it. At least I thought  you would probably win. OK, I knew you had a good chance to  win. I figured you had a 50/50 chance at the win. In reality, I wasn't sure you could pull it off.
But you did it. Please, no more nail-biters like today. I'm old. Too much excitement.
Do the words "cardiac arrest" ring a bell?
Good luck in round 2! Put 'em away early.
Thank you for your consideration! Go Johnnies   ;D

According to my calculations, the Johnnies held the lead for a grand total of 9:28. Less than 1/6 of the game. Luckily, some of that was at the 60:00 mark.

Okay that makes sense as he definitely didn't look like a flustered newcomer or anything.

#14 is more of a running QB and #12 is more of a passer.....

No way Aurora scores more than any team SJU has played this year, especially St. Thomas.

Pat and I were both wrong on how many points Aurora would score. Pat was low by 12. I was low by 26.

So, Pat was essentially right and I was way wrong.

Supposed to get cold here in OC this week and stay cold for Saturday.  High of 60 means Ugg boots and parkas 'round these parts.

Hope to see another game as entertaining as the Chapman/Linfield game today.  Safe travels to any Johnnie fans that come down.

The game today in Collegeville was awesome!  Congrats to an excellent team from Aurora.  They came to play and their QB is very good.  Good receivers, too, and well coached.  The Johnnies did just enough to pull it out in the end.  I have been going to games at SJU for 45 years and I can't recall such a high scoring game for both teams.  Aurora's fans were great!  Our season openers the next two years are going to be tough battles.  Thanks for a great game.

Now on to Chapman.  Go JOHNNIES!!!
