I done a lot of internet checking, maybe I'm overlooking something. Who did the Tommies play in the first round of the playoffs?

What year? The last time was 2017 when they beat Eureka, then beat Berry before losing to UMHB in the quarterfinals.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Their D looks vulnerable but they do seem to be able to put press.

They are   Vulnerable.    8-) Give your Q B time and monkey stomping will begin. 1. Run cross, then post , then whatever's should give you 21. Say hello to Mickey.  :-*

Not that I see people doubting St. John's because of a near loss to Aurora, it's my opinion that game says absolutely nothing bad about St. John's playoff hopes.

I think it bodes well for your team. Aurora ran a unique offense coordinated by a coach with unique talents, with a uniquely gifted QB and a number of well above-average receivers (also unique) that have been working toward a performance like this all season. I believe any team in the country, including UMHB and Mt, would have been in trouble with this team on that particular day.

Watching the game, not one time did I feel St. John's offense wouldn't weather the storm and come back. The only time I doubted St. John's victory was a bit of the last drive when I felt Beebe had his team exactly where he wanted them- the ball and an opportunity to score leaving no time for St. John's to answer.

I'm not predicting results with Chapman, but if I were them, I'd much rather be playing a St John's team that won by 42.

Was nice of those Sconie refs to take nearly 30 seconds off the clock when they missed Alston over the goalline with about 2:15 to play.

When are the finalists for the Gagliardi Trophy announced and what are the odds we see Aurora's Gavin Zimbelman on that list?

I mean, the guy threw for 57 TDs this year and over 3,600 yards. I don't think any QB in the playoffs can even hope to come close. There are only four guys left playing that are even within twenty TDs.

Blaine Hawkins (Central) 42
Broc Rutter (North Central) 42
D'Angelo Fulford (Mount Union) 39
Michael Hnatkowsky (Muhlenberg) 37

Even if Hawkins or Rutter played in the national championship game, they would have to average 5 TDs per game just to tie Zimbelman.

Don't ever sign your kids up for organized, especially club sports...I just got around to finishing up all the "to dos / paperwork" for club volleyball. Took 45 minutes of my life away...not too mention the $$$$$ that it costs!!!

SJU13

Quite a few sophomores in the offensive skill positions for both teams. Excited to see how both handle the pressure of the second round after their first round performances.

The playoff preview mentioned you'll know Chapman is playing well if they're winning time of possession. Seems as though they grind their opponents with a balanced offense. Hopefully we can come out firing and put them on the back foot.

Johnnies and Gophers have the same song in their "hype" videos for this week...not sure what to make if that????

I feel like SJU survived a scare against a very good Aurora team. Air Johnnie Offense seems perfectly suited for a game in sunny SoCal. I like SJU's chances Saturday.

They'll be playing in Ravi Alston's backyard.  Hopefully, the Johnnies can bring back a win and a few recruits.  ;D
