Technically, I believe that UMHB only has one championship as their 2016 wins have been vacated by the NCAA. 

This is another debate completely. UMHB won the game and the title and it was later given to UW-O. Everyone knows who won the game.

The title was never given and will never be given to UW-O. Vacating a title does not give it to the runner-up.

In addition, UMHB has appealed the ruling and vacating anything won't be official until the appeal is heard and ruled upon.

No one claimed that Wheaton should bow down to SJU, but some CCIW posters seem to think that SJU should just concede the game because Wheaton's offense is unstoppable and their defense is impenetrable.

Who, pray tell? I haven't seen a single CCIW poster say such a thing, or anything even close to it. Nobody who reps a CCIW team has put down the Johnnies at all, or made any declarations that SJU "should just concede the game because Wheaton's offense is unstoppable and their defense is impenetrable." Methinks you're projecting a bit here.

All I've seen so far from Wheaton posters in particular is respect for SJU:

St Johns is an epic program that Wheaton fans will love to see in person. Honestly, I am very worried about this game because I know how talented the Johnnies are since I follow the MIAC pretty closely during the year. I have seen them play more than once.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am sure that Swider will have the team ready to play and they definitely respect Erdmann and the rest of the SJU offense ( and defense for that matter as well).  They expect a war on Saturday and I think we all look forward to it.

Before the brackets came out, SJU was the last team I wanted Wheaton to face before the semifinals  (other than NCC - mainly because rematches are never easy).

What pushback there has been here among CCIW fans has been nothing more than a comparatively mild attempt to rein in the trash talk of OzJohnnie and your own overzealous reaction to mention of a CCIW quarterback who won't even be in McCully Stadium on Saturday. The fact of the matter is that the only two posters who have predicted a Wheaton win here on the MIAC board are BigRedScots, who is a Monmouth (and, thus, MWC) fan, and your own Faunch.

FWIW, with all the resume jockeying, SJU has made the D3 playoffs 6 times in the last decade, while Wheaton has made it 5 times. Both have had one 3rd round appearance in that time. Wheaton isn't a johnny  come lately. Absent the likes of giants MU, UWW, and MHB, and maybe the other two with Stagg appearances (UST & Wesley) the Wheaton recenty history is as good as anyone's.

Reign me in on my own board?  Sacrebleu!  God forbid that that supporters talk up their teams on their own board but lucky we have the Wheaton crew to come over here and straighten me out.  The rules are a bit hazy, I must admit, so I'm grateful for the initiation on board etiquette.

EDIT: And we didn't post a Rutter v Erdmann comparison on the MIAC board as a way to demonstrate the mighty orange power.  That was the civil CCIW types who were kindly showing us the rules.  Doing us a favour even.  At first I thought Rutter must play for Wheaton.  Silly me expecting relevance.

Why would Baldini be nervous? He's neither a Wheaton nor a CCIW fan. He's more of an all-purpose small-college sports guy -- and a serious fountain of information in more than one sport, too, which I respect.

Trust me, if they were serious about it they'd be trying a whole lot harder than they are. One of them in particular (who has never posted on this board, AFAIK) can get pretty hardcore, infusing his diatribes with lengthy Bible quotes. I figure that you Johnnies fans will feel let down that he's not likely to come over here and reprise that sort of thing, so you're just gonna have to skim through the CCIW football board archives if you want to seek out that particularly peculiar form of entertainment.

I think you misinterpret the comparison to NCC and Broc Rutter, I view it as a compliment since they have put up some fantastic numbers this year and throughout his career (again so has Erdmann and SJU).  And I do think comparing the Bell game is not completely fair as well because Wheaton always circles that game ( like I would guess SJU does for STU).

I'd run with that but Ypsi is over 22,000 close to Sager's number.
