Anticipating that there will be D III football this year

I am with you 57Johnnie. And I see the Devils have St. Olaf coming to town on September 5th so as is my want I invite any STO posters that would like to venture into Wiscy for the game to be my guest. Just send me a PM and it'll be my treat.

Having said that I'm not sure we have any regular St. Olaf posters? I know we have Texas Ole but I presume he is in Texas.

Maybe there are more, if so take me up on the offer.  1 hour east of downtown St. Paul.

I've got friends that have invited me to their son's wedding in late Oct and then the Johnnie/Tommie game is on in early November.  Now I just need to hope that Qantas are able to start up again so I can use my points and get over there.

Years ago I was uber diamond level on an Australian airline, Ansett, which went belly up before I used one point.

I read the Australian PM imposed no group gatherings larger than 2? I guess that would be the place to start, the smallest of groups.
What's the lowdown on families.....?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

2 can be as bad as 1.  It's the lonliest number since the number 1.

Folks, after nearly 10 years on this forum, this is my last post. My recent post that linked to a POTUS tweet was deleted for being too political. It's great to talk football, but when you can't signal to friends that we're in serious trouble regarding how this pandemic is being handled it makes me wonder if this is a good place to spend my time. I've enjoyed the banter. I've never meant to (actually) offend anyone. If anyone ever wants to chat, especially about how the efforts to slow the spread of this pandemic are going, send me a note: mr.miac01@gmail.com.

And as I said to you privately, you managed to post about it twice earlier without crossing the line. You knew where the line was and know where it is. I didn't ban or suspend you for it, just deleted the post.

Be safe, sir.

It's a bit haphazzard and ill defined. Can still walk around with your household regardless of size. Cannot stand close to more than one non household member. If your kids have moved out then they cannot visit. Can't visit the girlfriend, etc. Can still walk dogs at park.

Basically, they are trying to keep people off the beaches and from sun baking in the trendy neighbourhoods.

The biggest question is when does it stop?  They keep tightening the screws due to unknown criteria. When do they loosen the screws?  On what basis?

In Sydney the police have requested the power to issue on the spot fines of $1000 for groups of three and jail terms of six months. Meanwhile judges are releasing prisoners because of the virus threat.  It's a mess.

They are flying blind and acting arbitrarily it seems as they are absolutely refusing to provide the public with any information on the criteria they are measuring and on what basis they are making the decisions.  We'll see how it develops.

Sounds like it's as crazy Down Under as it is here. These 84 year old eyes have witnessed a plethora of happenings - WWll, The Korean War, the Vietnam War, several recessions, infectious outbreaks (Sars and Mers) and who knows what else!
But this is something else. I don't know about all of you, but I am frightened and confused. I am following the protocols that have been established - avoiding crowded places, staying 6 feet from people, washing hands and using hand sanitizer. That's about all we can do.
I can't wait until we can talk about the good stuff, you know, SJ2 vs U$T, etc.
That time will come - not fast enough though!
So Oz, my friend, stay well down there in the land of kangaroos, wombats, koalas and other exotic animals.

(I apologize if I have rambleled and not made much sense. Hey, I've been doing that for years (84) and I'm good at it. This whole thing is driving me crazy.)

Everyone stay safe and stay well! 😷 🍺
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Who?
The Rev is dead, long live the Rev.

Not dead, just defrocked.
Maybe at some point he will see his way clear to come back.

It's a pretty good podcast from Pat and Keith to help us all get our D3 Football fix.

So let me get this straight. The Reverend MIAC, Phd. changed his handle to Mr. MIAC and then deleted his account?

What was the point of the name change? Call me MUC57'd.  ???

I think that's because Mr. MIAC was his login name and he later changed his handle to the Rev one. When he deleted his account, it reverted all the modifications, would be my guess.
