The NCAA is postponing making a decision on UST's move to DI. Sounds like June at the earliest fo r adecision date:

St. Thomas was "involuntarily" removed from the MIAC in May 2019. It announced its intention to move to Division I after the university was invited to join the Division I Summit League in October.

The Summit League schools do not compete for football or hockey championships. St. Thomas is looking to join the Pioneer League or the Missouri Valley Conference for football.

No mention of a hockey solution.  Do you reckon it's a goner?

In spite of this terrible virus that has consumed our planet, tomorrow is still the most joyous day of the year. A renewed beginning for all of us.

I wish everyone a Happy Easter. Stay safe, stay well! ✝  ☦

Happy Easter Morning, everyone.  Mass is on TV at 10:30.

After Mass, however, there is football.  Hawthorn are listing the ten greatest games for the Hawks of all time and when they are on youtube then I'll be posting them here so you all can play along too.

#10.  The 2000 Elimination Final against the Geelong Cats.

Watching Game 1 of the 1991 World Series.  The Twins and Jack Morris dealing v. The Braves on FSN.
Best "classic" I've watched so far in this no sport period.

Agreed. Other than having to listen to Tim McCarver.

Game 2 is on at 7:00 PM and you can watch Ron Gant fall off 1st base and get tagged out by Hrbek.

BDB

I'm all over Game 2 RZ. The Gant play is like Sherman's March To The Sea in Atlanta.  🤪
People were hot and cold on McCarver doing games. I always liked him. Mostly I like anyone who really knows the game and talks it through while it's happening.
Jack Buck is a pleasure to listen to in these classic games for sure.

Hey guys,

I watched the 2001 Mount Union - Baldwin-Wallace football game. (Mount pulled it out wiith a couple minutes to go.)
If you would like, I can tell you how to get it. I thought so! Never mind.
Go Sports, of any kind! 🏈 🏀 ⚽️ 🏐 🏉 ⚾️ 🎾 ⛳️ 🏓 (Forget the ping pong)

I loved that series.  I've never been more excited and sure of a win as when Black Jack walked out to take the mound in the tenth of game seven.

EDIT: I love the internet almost as much.  Here's a channel on youtube with the complete '87 and '91 series plus the ALCS series against the Tigers and the BlueJays in those years.

It's the top 10 Hawks v Cats games, not all games.  Our greatest rivalry.  And, unfortunately, many of these are not Hawthorn victories.  And I didn't find all the complete games on YouTube.

#9.  2009, Round 17.  Hawks v Cats.

#5. 2016, Qualifying Final.

#4.  1989, Round 6.

(The top three yet to come.  I can guess two of them but am not sure about the third.)

It's very strange not to be able to attend mass on Easter. Doesn't seem right.

It is strange.  Also, it is snowing here (yesterday was mid 60s and sunny--I wore shorts most of the day).

Happy Easter, all.  I hope you all find joy today.  It's 8:30 and our kids are still asleep.  That's a small Easter miracle in my book! ;D

Happy Easter 'erry buddy!

There's an old saying "If it rains on Easter Sunday there will be rain the next 7 Sundays."

Don't know about if it snows, but if you look at the NWS forecast map and go to the very middle of the predicted area of heaviest snow fall amounts there could also be a red X there on the roof of my house.  :P

DuffMan

Good luck, BDB.  I put my snowblower away yesterday. April snow can melt.
