I start drawing SS end of next  summer. I'd like to head south. Mrs. Flash doesn't wean worth a crap, and doesn't want to wean, among other things. I'm a little nervous I may miss her.

105: I don't believe South Dakota has income tax.  Good choice, but perhaps someplace more exotic would be more apropo...

Mr. President, you are correct So.Dak. has no income tax! They generate all they need by sales tax, which I feel is a fair solution. If I buy a SUV- I get hit by sales tax, if I buy an econo-box I don't get hit as bad. There are less "tax-games" with loopholes to justify that my SUV is a "business expense".

As for a more exotic location (or better weather) FL, TX, NV are also options but I have to wean Mrs. 105 away from the Stearns County roots slowly, so So. Dak. would be a first step 

The warmer weather may help with that.  She might grow to like not freezing in thosw Northern winters.

My wife is a family lawyer and spent half her time, when praticing, doing divorces.  My greatest fear is that one day she decides she won't miss me. I'll be so cleaned up that I won't need (or be able to afford) a shower for six years.

So Jackson is going to play a great fourth quarter against the Lions and win the starting job back, right? Will that be the thing that finally causes Childress to get the boot? Because as soon as he says the job is Jackson's, you Jackson's play will go all to hell.

Will the Vikings make the playoffs?  Will Jackson look good only to crash and burn in the clinch?  Will Childress be proclaimed a genius by Reusse and Sid?

Following the Vikings is like watching a cheesy '80's horror movie.  You know the psycho/monster/killer is going to jump out of the shadows; you know you're going to jump; you also know you're going to walk out the cinema thinking that was a giant waste of time.  Yet you go anyway.

Go 'Dogs!  We have to cheer on a former MIAC team (which we kicked to Division II, along with all the other similarly sized public institutions in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota and Wisco....wait.....) taking down the D-II ranks.

  tMert, think I read something in Pioneer Press yesterday about a PBS special on Thomas Merton.    Think it's on Dec. 14.   Check your local  listing.   

   I'm always surprised when the godless lefties at PBS do something like this story on such a huge, modern  Catholic figure like Fr. Thomas Merton.
