If I am not mistaken, Brownie has been there for about 18 or so years.  The offense they ran certainly had to approved by the head coach.  Brownie made a real impression with me when I visited there with my son, an impression about GAC, and all the good things that coaching is supposed to stand for.  If what you say is true and he has been forced out it would be a real shame and I am sure many alum and players will rethink their loyalities.
For what it's worth:  I've been to the last two homecoming games at Gustavus and came away with the distinct feeling that the Gustie faithful wouldn't be too upset with a different set of coaches.  The groans were loud when Brownie would be waving his armbands around sending in plays that went nowhere.  Gustavus has a lot of talent on the roster, and could do better with Haugen.  We don't need a tenure system for coaches.

After reading the above post from AO I convinced that either world peace is right around the corner or this is the week to buy PowerBall tickets in mass.  When a rational person can agree with AO; something is amiss.  Very well thought out argument regarding GAC ;) ;)

Good work AO....that Northwestern education is beginning to pay off  ;D ;D

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

It's also scary that there is even something called the Gadget Blog and that 29 people commented on this story on the something called the Gadget Blog.  Is anyone out there still working or are they all like me with a TV on to the right of me and my computer monitor in front of me all day?

This newspaper photo showing a pregnant woman smoking a heater has a caption that reads "Mellissa Williamson worries about the effect on her unborn child from the sound of the jackhammers."  :P

I think you're being too hard on the concerned mother, BDB.  The article says she worries about the effect of jackhammers.  Smoking a fag, however, leaves no room for worry.  Those effects are clearly understood.

I bet she's merely looking for a way to fill a trust fund to defend herself from her kid's inevitable lawsuit.

And from Brisbane... get ready to watch human rights campaigners heads explode ala Scanners:

"Lesbian bus driver fired after spear chucker gibe"

A LESBIAN Asian bus driver was fired by Brisbane City Council after she wrote a note referring to commuters as "spear chuckers with prams."

But Lillian Tam - who said she has fought discrimination all her life - said the note was not meant to be malicious or racist.

And this shot is direct from the Queensland HR Tribunal...

Maybe I missed it but is anyone planning to get together to watch the Stagg Bowl on Saturday morning?
I realize watching the Raiders win their 10th title might  seem a little old but take it from me it never gets old. Shoot me an email or post plans if they have been made. I am not able to make the trip which is killing me but it is what it is.

Go Raiders and Run Nate Run!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
