I hope you all had a happy Easter.  Mine was good today as the Hawks finally picked up their first win of the season in a brutal victory over North Melbourne.  The Kangaroos trditionally match up well against the Hawks but our tall men up front were too overwhelming for the Roo's defense and our 6 rookies are just starting to get their confidence up.  Fully one-third of our championship side is out with injury and it shows in some sloppy skill work.  But today it all clicked and it was a devestating performance.

Video may follow when I get to a computer tomorrow.

From me and the Easter Beagle ...

And to you Tmerton as well as all my MIAC buddies. Tailgate Party season is just a little more than 4 months away!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

OZ - Our Easter has just started over here. Watch your tenses!!

NHL Regular Season ends today. My Caps and bennie's Jackets are in. Good Luck to both. If the BJ's just have a good series, and go one and out, it's a successful year. My Caps pretty much have to make it to the Conference Finals to make progress. Ah! The old "Expectations Game."

Johnnie Red

A blessed Easter to everyone on the board. ROR, maybe I will get assigned out to McLeod County to hear the case.

Sjusection105, Tailgate Party season can't get here soon enough. I purchased the new Lady Gaga cd yesterday in anticipation of adding more tunes to the Stiftungsfestivities.

The town team baseball season starts in three weeks. Always a good reason to be at the local ballpark.

The Easter Bunny is real, I caught her breaking into my apartment last night and took this picture of her:

Happy Easter to all.

Is Fins still one of Eric Decker's advisors?

From today's Daily Planet article on Decker's future and the decision he'll eventually have to make whether to go with football or baseball: "When the time comes to make a decision, I'll sit down with my family and the other important people in my life and I'll decide what's best for me."

And where is Fins?  In some Mexican jail?

Saludos Amigos!
It took all the pesos I had to make bail and get out of the country in the wee hours Saturday. Alas, my man Eric has not called, but in case he checks this board, I'd say take the baseball and run with it.

JR, you'd be in heaven in Mexico, since every bar, restaurant, beach and pool has speakers from which "music" is spewed at intense volume levels. It seems every other "song" was that one from Lady Caca, which I now know by heart, which isn't difficult since it has but 8 words and 3 notes. But I could probably sing Wagner's The Ring Cycle if I had been force-fed it ad nauseum for 8 days.
I fear that upon hearing the first 2 notes of Lady Caca at SJU, whatever polluted device from which it emanates will sail through the uprights at the south end of the stadium.

Agreed.  Very well written and touching obituary.

Mark "The Bird" Fidrych passed away today:

"Passed away"?  Brother Willie passed away.  The Bird was killed in some sort of construction accident.  Somehow I don't think of that as passing away.

But that reminds me of my prayer for a good death: I want to pass away quietly in my sleep, just like my grandfather.  Not screaming in agony like the four people in the car he was driving.
