Happy birthday fins. Hang in as long as you can.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Thanks to all for the wishes. Had a great day, visit with Mom, trip to Menard's in my new used pickup, then a stop at the Eagle's for some $2 Hamm's. Thank God for rain delays as I had to stay until midnight before the Twins game ended.

And we close today's message with the following child's prayer:

Dear God,
In this year please send clothes for all those poor ladies in Daddy's computer...
Amen !!!

A little birdie has shared with me that a football related construction project is about to begin at SJU that will enhance the viewing pleasure of those folks like Fins that use a luxury suite :o :o :o :o

On a side note, if anyone wants to know how to run the premier luxury ski/golf development into the ground google Yellowstone Club.  I sat through the bankruptcy hearing yesterday and was amazed at how quick one can blow $375 million.

Fins, belated happy birthday! This post is coming to you live from the Republic of Boulder. Graduation day tomorrow for my "little girl." They grow up way too fast. The graduation ceremony is tomorrow morning in the Colorado U football stadium. Then she has a separate ceremony later in the morning for her major. That is a little different. The commencement ceremonies have already started today for other majors all over the campus.

When I got off my plane this morning at the Denver airport and was walking out into the terminal, I see a young woman wearing a Johnnie sweatshirt. I asked her what her connection was to SJU and see told me she graduated from CSB in `06 and was flying back to St. Joe this weekend. Amazing how one makes those connections.

Belated congratulations on your recent celebration of your 25th anniversary of your  30th Birthday? :-[

Nothing better than a ride on a new old pick-up (what was her name?) ;D and $2.00 Hamms.

Hope to see you soon!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Where did your luggage end up?  :D

Congrats to the graduate.

Thanks guys!

JR- Congrats to the princess on her graduation. Sounds like she's, like, WAY smarter than Paris Hilton! Hard to match those paydays, though. I guess it's true, you'll never go broke underestimating the taste of the average American.  ;)
I'll be attending the SJU festivities on Sunday as they pry my boy's hands from the library doors and kick him out into the cruel world. And the torch will be passed, as my baby will assume the Finsleft Chair at the Info Desk this summer and start SJU in the fall.

True. See correction above.

Fins, enjoy the graduation ceremony on Sunday at SJU. Just got back from commencement at UC. This morning there was a bar called The Sink that invited the graduating seniors in for a shot starting at 7:00 a.m. As you might imagine, the line was packed to get into the bar.

Then we were walking over to Folsom Stadium around 8:00 a.m. for the commencement that started at 8:30 a.m.  ??? only to see a young lady in her graduation gown upchuck. She must have been at The Sink.

Once in the stadium and all the graduates to be were seated, three guys in their gowns start running toward the end of the field showing that they only had on undies under the gown and nothing else. That was a new experience and something you will probably never see in Collegeville.

Interesting to see how much Paris makes for an appearance ($150,000). I don't know if we could afford to pay her anything close to that for the Stiftungsfestivities.

Time to head back to my daughter's apartment for the party that is starting at 2:00 p.m. Hopefully we will be making it down to Pearl Street tonight.

You mean that at C'ville they wouldn't even wear the undies? :o

Either the kids nowadays are smarter and learn more quickly than we did, or they give up on them much sooner. When I graduated, it was on May 27, not May 10.

Congrats to the graduates and the parents. Being the dad of a 3rd and 4th grader, I can appreciate how much it takes to get these young people to that point.

Things might get a little easier for me on the helping with homework front since my kids are bringing home stuff that is starting to be beyond my Bachelor of Arts education.  ???   ;D

Not to mention being 1909 instead of 2009. 8)
