I don't think anyone took your query to be anything but a quest for knowledge, it was the tone of some of the posts on that site that get us fired up. If this is how low some have to stoop to denegrate a fine program, it shows how small minded some people can really be. It's not the uniforms themselves that are the source of the irritation, it was the excuse the uniforms provided to some to take their shots. I'm sure that with the rise of the quality of the UWW program, you have seen the same type of thing being directed at that program.

How'd you find this?  Is one of your daughters doing some wedding planning?   I'd call it a sure sign of de-evolution, but then I remember back in the 60s seeing a picture of a service at an Episcopal church in NYC where the kids were doing the twist as they came down the center aisle.  I just hope this doesn't spawn imitators.

Having grown up in Oklahoma when the Bud Wilkinson [Minnesota native and All-American Bud Wilkinson] led Sooners swepts the plains in virtually identical uniforms, I'm quite partial to the red and white.

Yes, you're right. UWW gets a lot of criticism lately for the amount of outside funding we receive (especially in our athletic programs). As greatfull as i am for it, i probably would bash at UWW too if I didn't go there.

Lately?  I've been poking fun at DLK's grip on the UWW football program for at least the past couple of years.  Hell, I'm out here in Oregon and I know that Plinske is DLK's puppet and is really the man that turned "Z" away from the HC job when it came open.

EDIT: Clean again.  Thank goodness.  And the Hawks lost a classic match to Geelong by one point.  The Hawkers should have sealed the game, but missed a couple crucial shots at goal.  It was theirs to win.  Now if they make the play offs they'll be up against Geelong or St Kilda again in the first round.  Makes for a short post season.
