Tried a local favorite brew down here last night called "Magic hat #9"  Quite possibly one of the best beers I have ever had.  Anyone else familiar with it?  You can really only find in on the East Coast I've been told.

And the best way for Leinie's to improve their product would be to send someone to steal the Summit E.P.A recipe!

Yeah, I drink a fair bit of it and enjoy it a lot. It's a Burlington, Vt. brew. All of their products are pretty good -=- lucky cat, circus boy ...

But I still feel better with the insurance of a Yeungling six in the fridge.

They have one called 'Chaotic Chemistry'  8)
Duff & I are probably the only ones qualified to rate that one.  :P

Well, I was all set to go straight from the end of the regular AFL season and into the MIAC season when against all odds the Hawks have their playoff destiny back in their hands.  They don't deserve this opportunity (having played a shocking season), but I'll take what I can get.  A win this weekend against the Essendon Bombers (Sorry, Kubiak, but your mate's bush-league team in gonna have to go down) means that Hawthorn make the post-season.

Unfortunately, Hawthorn's goal kicking superstar, Buddy Franklin, has been rubbed out for two games due to this hit on Ben Cousins of the Richmond Tigers.  Hawthorn are appealing the ruling, but the soft-as-French-cheese rules they put on this year say that even unintentional and fair hits that go to the head are not on.  Hence the reference to 'old-fashioned football' in the clip.

EDIT:  I'm glad I've got season tickets.  I reckon the MCG will be near it's 100k capacity this weekend as fans look for the same sort of fireworks as were seen in the "Line in the Sand" match from 2004.  A large number of these players are still on the starting sides for each team.

I think "57" and I take exception to that. And I'm still a little bit miffed about the denegration of Leinenkugel, and by inclusion, Lienie Red - one of my all-time fave's (Not Favre's)

Agreed retagent. I thought those were smitin' words out of Duff, but I let it ride.

Then I remembered that: A) he doesn't like hockey and B) he likes to fish but doesn't like fishing for walleye.  ???

So, if he doesn't like a nice cold, fresh Leinie's original in the longneck being served by a hot college chick at the tiki bar, well then that's one more thing he's confused on.  ;D

I know, I'm weird.

I like:

A) real sports
B) good beer
C) fish that fight better than a wet sock

I know there's no converting you on any of the 3 subjects Duff.

So, who's all heading for River Falls? Stiffyfest and Hamm's or just Hamm's?
