Random goofy signs.....

....posted for no reason.

I don't have a picture to post, but my favorite idiocy is a sticker I've seen on many gas pumps: "Please pre-pay in advance". ::)

Is Pitcher Day like "Case Day" at Gustavus?

Is that any different than "Case Day" at SJU...or any college, for that matter?  ;)

I have heard good things about Case Day, but ask anyone that has visited Beer Olympics at Carleton and there is no match.

I have a few Hot Carl coworkers, and they've spoken of such events.  Sounds like a great time!

So much fun I've been to at least 6 of them, but then again Carleton has (or at least had) a significantly more liberal alcohol policy than most of the other MIAC schools.

Planning on catching the Knights against Bethel this weekend so I can get my first look at them this year.  Not sure what to expect with them being so young, but they have been bringing in better athletes over recent years so who knows.  Hopefully they can continue to put the zealots in their place as has been the case the last few years.

Concordia is Definately NOT anywhere close to being liberal as far as the alcohol policies are concerned.  Thats why we love Micks so much.  Rat Pack you interested in a little intercollegiate bonding after the game?

Friday NIGHT!!!

I'm hitting the beer this week.  Tired as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!

One of each, please.

(And, yes, I know a few of those aren't Aussie brews but how much searching do you want me to do?  It's beer-o-clock!)

What no, XXXX?

While I hung with mostly a VB crowd, I think I tried most of those down there. Not the Melbourne Bitter, however, but had some good Carlton products.

Sad to see Stella in that shot. Seems to me that they are the Tommies of the collection ... way overrated.

Agreed.  And the Corona--we all know how I feel about that.

We may have disagreed before on our tastes in the golden nectar area, but +k to you Duff on the shared distaste of Corona. Juan Manuel Marquez drinks his urine, I don't think I should have to also.

You can tell what kind of beer (I'm using the term loosely) it is if you have to put lime in it.  :P

Just a tip to anyone who will be watching the Gophers tomorrow ... watch Cal running back Jahvid Best.  He's a fantastic back (mentioned for the Heisman) and an even better kid.  He's from the high school where my wife teaches, and I had the pleasure of watching him play back then.  So if you find the Gophers can't keep up with him, it won't be a surprise to me. ;)

Go Johnnies!

Touchdown Tommy

Good to hear Clark.  TC and I briefly considered the Gophers game at 11am and the Twins game at 3pm, but cooler heads have prevailed.  I will be listening to my pal VOJ on the radio and tuning into Griese/Spielman on the WWL.  See you next week at Gustavus??  Patrick's is a fantastic spot down St. Peter...
