I think it's smed's method of moving up in the standings.  ;)

Long time reader, 1st time poster.

I figured we could use another Johnnie fan in this forum.  I hate to bring this up and maybe I'm missing something, but I think the poll is wrong.  St. John's lost to Gustavous at home in 1997.  I think the score was GAC 24-SJU 16.  I was a senior at the time and I believe it was Homecoming as well.  The 1997 season was the season we tried to replace a 3 year starting QB (Ramler) and quarterback shuffle that ensued in '97 was even worse than last season's QB debacle.

On a brighter note, GAC looks like they have a video stream for Saturday's game.  I don't know what the quality is like, but here's the link:

Confirmed

Will we see total reversal of Wonka's opinion of the new coach with a GAC win on Saturday?

About 20 minutes ago I had the pleasure of flying over Central MN (North of Willmar and South of St. Cloud) at 39,000 ft on my way to Greenwich, CT with a client.  The glow from Collegeville and Clemens Stadium was visible from the plane.  Hope all is well in SJU land.

We are now over Wisconsin and the stench is horrible.

Hey 57 - Can you go over to the Fat Tire Brewery and ask them to lower their prices so I don't have to take out a loan to purchase their fine product?

Where are all the Nick Punto bashers today?  I had to listen/watch the Chicago Fox Sports feed last night, which was actually quite satisfying. As Punto was running up the count and fouling off a few, "Hawk" Harrelson was fortelling the future by recounting how Punto has, any number of times, had good at bats in similar situations, and won his share. Nick proceeds to slash his RBI single shortly thereafter, prompting Hawk to note that "he just won that one."

I'm about 350 miles from Ft. Collins so think I'll decline. Around here it's priced the same as Corona and much less than Avalanche so 'case closed'  8)
Since we can't get Leinies Octoberfest we will have Fat Tire on tap at our Octoberfest on the 3rd.  ;)
