How 'bout the Wolf?

You've never seen Wooderson in the locker room, obviously  :D

Easy now LWD.  It appears that The President has touched a small nerve with his post.

Au contrare, TDT's pals/responsibilities understand and hence observe proper ManCode which states that All Weddings, Showers, Funerals, Arts & Crafts Festivals, Golf Outings et al; will not commence on Fall Saturday's (as defined from the 1st college football Saturday to the last) between the hours of 8am-8pm.

I should note that Veek Sr. and Veek's brother John fully understand and observe the above statement in its entirety.  BTW: FYI Veek your seats are tremendous on the 50 yrd line.  Thanks a bunch!!!  8)  8)

Need to be a man first to observe proper Man Code.

This Saturday will mark the first time I have missed Homecoming at SJU since my junior year in high school (1990).  In fact, this year will be the first year I do not plan on attending a SJU game, period, since 1987.
There are many mitigating factors for this season long boycott of anything SJU, but first and foremost is my total disagreement with the direction Saturdays in Collegeville have headed (aside from the Sci-Lot).
I will not get on here and rant, but IMHO, until there is a philosophical redirection into what a Saturday at SJU means, I will better serve my time being away from the Natural, Orville Reddenbacher/Pepsi/______Pizza/Whatever New Sponsors/Elitist Leaning Box Sitters/Corporate Tent Hosting/Dont Offend Anyone by Wearing Funny Tee-Shirts/Politically Correct Bowl.

Well fellas, I have abstained long enough. My decision to take leave of this website in 2007 had everything to do with the direction UST football was heading...which was the toilet.

I was excited about the hiring of Glenn Caruso but decided to give him a full year to decide whether I can get back on here and talk smack again. And while it may be a tad curious to make my comeback after a 63 to 10 yawner win at Hamline, I was impressed with the way they played St. Olaf. I think what finally sold me was dropping Northwestern BC and Macalester from the schedule and replacing them with quality opponents from the WIAC and St. Norbert's for our non-conference games. I was never a fan of padding one's record.

Sorry to hear what is happening at Collegeville Ritz...bound to happen when you're the only game in town.

Forgot to mention...

Clark don't worry about the In n Out burgers anymore (but you should be worried that #2 offered TDT your swimming pool and the luxury accomodations during the President's Cup while we chatted postgame).  A member of the Flyin' Tomzciks is flying into MSP this week from Santa Barbara with plenty of Double-Doubles...

The pool's all yours; we don't heat it (heater is broken in fact - going on a couple of years); just means you'll have to paddle faster to stay warm.  And do you want the top bunk or the bottom bunk in the boys' room?  Glad to hear about the Double Doubles coming your way, although from what Veek says you may be a little constipated on Saturday.

What team is "Northwestern BC"?   ???  Was there football being played in ancient greece or rome?   If you're referring to Northwestern College in Minnesota, their football history only dates back to 1972.

ritz;

Then you should make an effort to visit the Johnnie game here, virtually.  With the radio broadcast and my imagination, Saturday mornings are exactly as I remember them the day I walked off campus with my degree.

AO,

I'm sorry, I thought it was still Northwestern Bible College. Just to be clear, I'm referring to the team that racked up an awesome -18 yards rushing in a 41 to 0 loss to UST last year.

Is it Oktoberfest time?

Lots of Oktoberfest snaps of a similar vein, with a couple a bit veinier, here.

EDIT:  And I see that TDT voted for himself in the poll.  If you can't love yourself, then who can?  Maybe Mom, but other than that, who?

Johnnie Red

I just sent an email to the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders to see if they could make the trip up to Collegeville for the Johnnie-Tommie game on October 17. They were at the Chaska-Chanhassen game this past Friday night and I talked to one of the cheerleaders about making the trip up to Collegeville. She seemed very excited about the opportunity. Hopefully they could bring up their 2009-2010 swimsuit calendars for distribution. ;) Developing....

I just might end up having the best trip home since forever...

Hopefully my guys put up a better fight this year.  The Tommies are definitely looking tough this year.
