Sofaking was more entertaining than the Tommie posters-those were the days.

I think the only words a Tommie co-ed would say to KR would be, "Hey, you with the binoculars...get out of that tree or I'm calling the cops!"

Perhaps, but more likely, "Dr. KR, I've got this rash, and it burns when I pee."   :D

If stringing swear words and one syllable words together is entertaining...well then, he was just a regular Bob Hope.

At least he knew his football. ;)

He knew he liked the Cobbers, and "things that don't suck," this much is true.

He also knew that Andy Passanante was the greatest receiver in the history of football.  Where is he now??? :D

Say what you want about Kilted Rat, at least he had the requisite attention span required to read more than one sentence. Next week sir.

I don't believe Oz said anything about Kilted  Rat. And if someone was going to it better be something positive.

Except perhaps a Tommie co-ed. KR took some pretty good shots at them.   ;D

But then, what man hasn't?

(Hey, hey, this is a family board)

I'm going to ask this here because I  want a real answer, and I think I can get one from raiderguy, or one of his fellow MTU cronies who post here regularly, rather than get lambasted on the OAC board.

In the USA Today article about Pierre Garcon (a very good article by the way, if any of you haven't read it. Go to the D III Players in the Pros thread) it mentioned that he went to Mount Union because his grades weren't good enough to get hom into Florida State (?). In 2003, there was a huge OL who I recall was somehow unable to get into OSU because of some grade problems also. I can't remember the exact reason, and it may have been more complicated than that, but is there a program for such students at MTU, or only those who can help on the football field?

I heard about some of this a few years ago...Googling names during the Stagg Bowl. I thought a lack of commitment to academics was why the NAIA was created.

Touchdown Tommy

retagent:  You are thinking of Larry Kinnard.  He was a monster.  I believe Raiderguy will be in here shortly refuting all claims regarding academics as rumors.  He has told me the lowdown before but it is a lot more fun to play "make believe".

Benchwarmer: -K for your extended PP absence and general douchy UST background.  Where are all your pals?  Next week could be epic.  I distinctly remember the Ambrasas, Hilliard, Barkley, Kaiser years where the MIACPP was rocking and rolling.  In fact, Mr. Barkley was a poster here.  Really incredible that with all that talent they never won a MIAC title.

Touchdown T has it on good recognizance that the scene around the Dome is bananas already this afternoon.  Lots of extravagant tailgates, Brett Favre dolls hanging from poles, etc.  I don't particularly care who wins tonight, but I will enjoy the rivalry!!

TDT,

One word: Roney. Those guys could play, no doubt about it. But it doesn't really matter how potent your offense is when you give up 1400 yards of offense in two weeks.

I would hit you with some -K but it seems they've taken away that privilege for those that don't have enough posts on the newer website. Besides, it appears it would be redundant. Out of curiosity, what did you do to have the lifetime ban lifted? Pete Rose may want to talk to you.

I think it's nice that the Twins are letting the Vikes and the GB Pukers use Camp Snoopy Field tonight. Hope they pick up after themselves so my feet don't stick to the floor for the real game tomorrow afternoon.

Closed circuit to TDT: Sorry Pal, all the partners exercised their options for tomorrow. Guess the ticket office is a madhouse down there at KP Place.
