TDT,

I wish the camera panned that guy. Too many signs with not-so-clever acronyms for TBS.

Was it just me or did I hear Skip Caray say "fisted" everytime guys would fight off inside pitches?

I think it might have been just you, since Skip Caray died in 2008.

I'm hoping SJU can keep going...along with Linfield......I'd love a rematch either in Collegeville or at the CatDome....that would be a CLASSIC!

So, when do we get another segment fron Nacho Libra a.k.a. Touchdown Tommy on JohnnieFootball.com::)

On another topic, it looks as though Coach Caruso's team has really caught fire on the UST campus.

St. Thomas' football video looks good when they show a TD from 4 different angles. GAC's secondary looked inexperienced and their receivers have a tough time catching passes whether it's the qb or wr I don't know.  We will see what happens saturday!  I will not be in attendace since there are an abundance of pheasants to be shot!

Knock down a few birds for me.   Those rosters are really good eating.   Sure wish I was there,  are you bird hunting in ND?

A bit o' the news of the weird?

"Thugs try to bash transvestites - who are actually cage fighters"

TWO thugs who attacked what they thought were a pair of transvestites picked on the wrong men - when their intended victims turned out to be cage fighters on a night out in fancy dress...

Bare-chested Gardener was caught on CCTV confronting one of the men in a pink wig, black skirt and boob tube - then seen swinging a punch, a court in Wales heard.

But the other cage fighter, wearing a sparkling black dress and matching long wig, sprang to his friend's help, delivering two lightning-quick punches to the two stunned yobs.

The cage fighters were then seen teetering away in their high heels, stopping only to pick up a clutch bag they dropped during the melee...

In court, Mark Davies, defending, said: "You know it cannot have been a good night when you get into a fight with two cross-dressing men."

Crown is going West this season, but the opponent is Lewis & Clark, not Linfield.  By the way, we may have missed the opportunity to make fun of St. Scholastica as they are 2-0 in conference play this year.

........ and the Saints only have 2 seniors and 1 junior, all RBs and I don't think they are starters.
I think that is phenomenal  :)

Lewis and Clark...the Macalester of the West coast.  Beautiful campus, though.  We practiced out there in 2002 when we went to deliver a beatdown to Linfield  :D

Cobbernation,

This seems a little problematic for your boys:

15
Fumbles by Cobbers in four games this season (nine lost)

222
Consecutive touches without a fumble by Tommie RB Ben Wartman

Hopefully the fumblelitis continues.

Yes, I know the cobbers have trouble hanging on to the ball this season.  It doesn't bode well for them when the cobbers have 13 turnovers in the first four games and UST has only 4.  I think that consecutive streak will come to an end saturday, plus who keeps those stats anyway?  I wonder how many touches Wartman has had without a fumble off the field?! :D

I will be in central MN (litchfield) where John Carlson is a local legend!

The Pipers are typically road-kill for SJU.  At the same time, the game in between Bethel and UST makes a perfect trap game for the Johnnies should they be looking past it.  Will be interesting to see how they play.  The weather looks to be cold and crappy.  Maybe even snow?  ??? :P  Brrrrr. 8)

Funny quote I found while wandering around the internet ... :D

QuoteIn the late 80's my wife and I taught at Gustavus, which is a school dedicated to credentialing the academically challenged offspring of financially gifted parents. We started cheering for St. Johns about halfway through the first football game I saw.
