Touchdown Tommy

Ha too funny.  That is Wardo and TDT in the backround of the StarTrib pic before last Sunday's game.

Pat:  You win.  You can have the last word.  You always do.

I didn't notice that.

I think they also got Wardo Jr.'s forehead just over TC's right shoulder.

First time I've had my picture in the paper since the Michele Bachmann revival meeting I attended last summer.

Oz: What time do you arrive in the Boogie Down?  I can arrange VIP transportation via Clark if you would like...

Thank you, sir, but I'll be driving down from Da Range on Saturday morning with the folks.  Mom will be driving back up on Saturday evening I think...

Not sure of arrival time.  About 11 probably.

Oz, are you going to take your folks for a bar crawl at Sal's at closing time? There should be a lot of drunk, depressed, vomit soaked Tommies lying on the floor to cushion the fall should you not successfully negotiate the entire bar crawl  ::)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

My folks on a bar crawl...  What an image.  The old man was in the Navy, so I'm sure Dad could bring a game face to the occasion, but I'm not so sure about my mom.  A bit like oil and water, mom with a bunch of drunk kids.

Congrats to the Johnnies on a 6-0 start.  I know you guys don't want to talk about it much but, what are the chances of the Johnnies running the table in the regular season?

If St. John's can win this week, the last three games are all very winnable.  St. Olaf at home won't be a cakewalk, but they don't seem to be as good as they were a couple years ago.  Augsburg at the Metrodome should be a waste of everyone's time and, as close as the game was at Carleton a year, the Johnnies have never lost to the Knights and Carleton graduated a ton of studs from last year.

This week, though?  Yikes.  It should be a good game.

I'll be on a tight schedule, but if you somehow catch me while I'm not doing an interview or something I might be able to make some time for you little people.

For all those who are upset about the "Corporatization" of Johnnie football.... I was watching the UW Stout @UW Stevens Point game on FSN, and the logo at mid field is an ad.

Yup, that about sums it up perfectly.  NCC still has Clark, and will put up a fight, but won't win unless SJU plays a bad game.

What would be interesting though would be if...

UST beats SJU and then Bethel turns around and beats UST.  That leaves SJU at 9-1, UST 9-1, and Bethel at 8-2, with all tied in Conference play.  I don't remember the rule about who gets automatic bid, but it would leave for an interesting conversation for another bid at the end of the season.  Very interested to see what turns up this weekend, and of course, 4 weeks left, a lot can happen.

In your "scenario", St. Thomas would be the autobid if I'm not mistaken, since they haven't won the league for the longest time. Whereas Bethel and SJU have both won it recently.

You're actually coming to a game? ???  Jeez, baseball season must be over.

Testing, testing... is this thing on???

Long time lurker, first time poster. First things first, I want to say I love what you guys have done with the place, really classed up the joint.  +K all around

I'm currently between month long field evolutions. This whole playing Marine thing is not as much fun as you might think.

Anyway, just wanted to drop some knowledge; while I was at Mountain Warfare Training last month, MRS KR beat TDT in Fantasy Baseball despite not realizing that OPS didn't mean errors.

Almost forgot...

TOMMIES SUCK!!!!!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

It's a city-owned field -- that wasn't in the school's control.
