Maniac:  Please go on the record with your prediction for Saturday's game....

RE: Kilted Rat

This cat is a world away and he still finds a way to make a dig at TDT.  Some ish never changes...

RE: Little Wiener Doggie

Veek is AWOL this week.  WTF??  The biggest game of the season and he is no where to be found.  I hope he doesn't have any last minute excuses for being absent on Saturday in Cville.  TDT would just have to enjoy the VIP LWD seats in style...

Saturday should be interesting. UST finally decided to imitate SJU and hired a young Italian guy with no prior connection to the school as head coach and features a versatile WR/kick & punt return guy wearing a single-digit jersey (SJU had #2, Waldvogel wears #4). Maybe these factors will help lift The Curse Of Roney.

Injury situation on defenses probably wont be a factor, but could make things interesting.

Id venture a guess that a crowd of 12,000 is expected because UST fans are called fickle on here, that is down from 30,000   ;D

I hope your comparison of Fritz W to Blake is in single didgit uni-numbers and similiar punt return jobs only, because if you are indicating that Fritz is like Blake in any other way...

you must be mistaken or high on something... :o ;D

VOJ: He is good.  Real real good.  And only a sophomore.

Also, how bout you and the BEAR crew broadcast the pregame show live from the Johnnie tailgate party this week?  I know Wooderson would be in favor of this.  TDT could line up some Primo guests and I think people would dig the show out with the people as opposed to the sterile atmosphere of the broadcast booth.  You, Bryan, Carbo/Wooderson would have plenty of time for a Veek wild rice sausage or cold bevy during the numerous commercial breaks and pre-recorded segments.

bennie, You got that right esp since the Wings are nowhere to be seen. I'll bet you are hard to control seeing where the Jackets are. Things change quickly this early. I see the Hawks being right there at the end.......... but this is Tommie week

GO JOHNNIES

BTW: John Wooden is 99 today so John G. has a long way to go ;)

I always thougth the phrase went...."Suck a basketball through a garden hose"   Guess the Tommies cant even get that right.

bennie ,
You have to keep the troops under control on Saturday. I have to work with Special Olympics kids until late in the game. Special Olympians are the only ones that compare favorably with the JOHNNIES.  ;)

I know Waldvogel is good...but to compare him to a Gagliardi Trophy winner who lead his team to a Stagg Bowl win, is a little much at this stage of his career, check back with me after his senior season and maybe he qualifies for that comparison...maybe

I know Wooderson would be in favor of the live broadcast from the tailgate,  in fact if he could do his commentary and never leave the tailgate and all that goes with it  he would be in heaven...but that probably won't happen, and here is another issue, Bryan won't leave the comfort of the box, so we would have issues there as well, nice idea, probably not going to happen though.

Waldvogel is by far the best receiver and returner in the conference. That makes the comparison valid...but he's got to do it on the big stage to make believers out of the Johnnies, who love ripping supposedly big-name guys for disappointing against the Red. Everyone understands that.

SJU's corner have been battered and bruised all year, forcing them to rely on youngsters. I've got to think that plays to UST's advantage. Should make for an interesting battle within the war.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Waldvogel is a good receiver and returner, though his return stats are inflated by 3 returns for 180 yards against Mac.  Besides that he only has 8 returns for 57 yards on the season.

I will put my money on Haugen and Fasching to devise a scheme to contain the Tommie receiver. I can't remember the last time two sophmores beat SJU and I don't think it will happen Saturday.

The nice thing is, they'd also have to design a scheme to stop Wartman, Margarit, Friedrichs, Moen, Tobin, Morse and when Dakota Tracy comes in at QB, the option; not to mention a good, accurate leg in Beeson. Nice to have multitude of options and a coach who has faith in all of his players.

Defense isn't too shabby either.
