Alright, Role call...

Who voted for me in the Poll?  Time to come clean...

Who else?   ;D
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

You can see why judges bemoan the lack of civility in courtrooms.
Looking forward to making the trip in November for the first home playoff game.

USTBench, if it would make you feel better, I can acknowledge that in the spring of `75 I lived in an apartment at the corner of Randolph and Snelling in St. Paul with two Tommie runners/students and took an accounting class at St. Thomas (I had graduated in Dec. of `74 from SJU). I was also dating a babe from St. Kate's back then. And now you have the rest of the story! :D

Veek: I promise to behave at the game. ;)
Hey: TDT we are having a coat drive down here, any chance of getting that infamous coat donated?

To take down TDT in this poll would be a Roneyesque "moral victory."

So:

When exiting off of 1-94 to go to Collegeville on Saturday I thought what I saw was a herd of red angus cattle that had some how gotten into a parking lot. Alarmed I informed some security of this situation, as it could be problematic when more people started to arrive. They then promptly informed me that it was indeed not red angus cattle, but Bennies tailgating.

Thought maybe you saw a weather type ballon with a young child inside. I wonder if 57 had a hand in that event. :D

bench, Here's a quote attributed to Fannie Hurst, born, curiously, on this date, 1885

"It takes a clever man to turn cynic, and a wise man to be clever enough not to."

Let me add my belated congrats to Blue Devil Bob. The fact that he's a hockey guy makes him aces in my book.

Now a serious query. The usually potent Johnnie passing game has been somewhat less so this year, and one might say anemic this last game. For those of you who have seen some games this year, is this going to be a problem? On the other side of the coin, the running game, which has been suspect in recent years seems to be running in all gears. I think that as the weather turns less balmy, the running game is much more important, and that might be the reason for less than stellar post season results in the past few years. Is the trade-off a good one, or can we expect a better air game against future opponents?

I believe that Boyle, our QB, jammed his thumb pretty good against Hamline and it is affecting how he delivers the ball.  That is my hope anyway.  Also defenses have been playing back to prevent the big play over much of the season.  It is kind of refreshing to see the Johnnies play smash-mouth football again.

Tmerton:  Email me tomorrow.  Do I have a story for you...

TDT's level of paranoia is limitless.

In response to the above, I PM'd TDT this morning, asking what sort of story he had for me.

He PM'd me back saying he would only use email or phone as he knows - "for a fact" - that Pat reads the PMs we send.

Shortly thereafter I received a PM from Pat saying that was "ridiculous" and that he does no such thing.

Just goes to show how paranoid the President is.

Hope I didn't miss this in an earlier post, but here is the UST(d) video of the Tommies kicking SJU a--:

Looks like the Tommies won by 5-6 TDs.
