The Tommies have got those poster/schedules up all over Highland.  I'd love to get some SJU stickers to put on them.

Did anybody see Brewster dig something out of his lip at the end of the game?  I was watching on TV and in the final seconds, just as he started going onto  the field I saw him dig into his lip with his finger.  As a former tobacco chewer I couldn't help but think he had a little dip or a bandit action going on.

Two blondes are walking in the forest when one says "Look, Deer Tracks". The other one said, "Those aren't deer tracks, those are Bear tracks." Sadly, they were still arguing a half hour later when the train hit them.

Missed that, but as much as I hate going into the office on Sunday, I was glad that I was there watching the Vikes on my little TV instead of the big HD at home when the camera zeroes in on No. 4's textbook field blow.

Like a Alzheimers sufferer, certain events are locked in memory for me.  Baltimore still has the Colts, just like Ronnie is still in the Navy.

And my post, made in the heat of a 17 point third quarter collapse, is not unreasonable.  Football without passion is like life without sex - fairly unenjoyable (I would imagine.  Ask TDT for confirmation).

Friggin' Vikings.  WTF with that defense?  It really makes a guy mad, you know?

What I don't get is that they are so predictably chewed up by the passing game in the second half every week.  We play against someone like Baltimore or NO we'll have 50 points scored on us.

umm... We did play Baltimore

Our condolences to Tom Lehman and his family on the passing of his father, Jim Lehman, a football standout at St. John's and who was coached by John Gagliardi. Jim died last Wednesday after complications during lung surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He was 75.

It's amazing that the man could live a full life, including playing professional football and seeing his son win a seniors golf tournament--and his college football coach is still coaching at the time of his death.

I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run
