ROR, any relation between the SJU QB John Ries and your old roommate?

I don't believe so.  I should have asked him at the Tommy game.  He wasn't my roommate, just a good friend.

He does, however, have a son at SJU playing baseball and one at NDSU playing baseball.

Thanks for the last two posts, I was tempted to take offense at your comments.  Now, however, I realize the level of maturity I'm dealing with...  ::)

Boyle has a partially torn ligament-yikes! I sure hope SJU gets that #1 seed so they play maybe the NathCon champ in the first round-give Boyle more time to heal. Otherwise, the D will have to carry SJU.
BTW: when was the last time a Freshman started at QB while the team was undefeated after most of league play or leading the MIAC later in the season? ROR-any guess?

TC,

Is your handle on the twins website BabyJesusMVP?

It wasn't me.  Reader comments on mainstream sports websites make want to kill puppies.

Yuck.  The offense looked pretty helpless after Boyle was knocked out against St. Olaf.  According to Frank the Tank, Boyle's holding out hope of being able to play against Carleton.  Is this the first confirmation that he actually tore the ligament?  I thought it had been described as a sprain up until now.

I'm excited to see what John Ries does this Saturday.  He'll have two full weeks to prepare for the game, it will be in the Dome so the elements won't be a concern, and he'll be going against the statistically worst defense (against the pass and overall) in the conference.  And interestingly, he'll be making his third consecutive start at the Metrodome.

Let's assume the Grand 'Ol Man has been playing opossum this year and the MIAC champ is definitely the #1 team in the West, where are decent (2 star) motels to stay within 15 minutes of Clemens that have public transportation to near the campus? Would http://johnniefootball.com/ list such?

You've never been to Central Minnesota, have you?

it's not new information on Boyle. It's been described as a partial tear since last Wednesday.

Thank God it's Friday.  I'm beat like a $2 whoor.  Hard week.  The good news?  Next week is harder.  Lucky me.

The injury is a slight tear and although he can grip a football, the coaching staff feels that one more week of rest is the best medicine right now...If Reis struggles look for Scott Ramey from Brainerd to get an opportunity

inside or outside conditions would not be a factor this weekend...60 degrees and perfect weather expected in the cities and we will be in the dome...
