It's official......................We have our first "your team hasn't seen a team like our team sighting"

Thanks Scottie! It usually takes a least a couple of days to get to this level. ;D

"Johnnie Pukes"...I kinda like it hahahahahhahahahahahhahaha

Either someone has broke into my account or someone in my family thinks they are funny in trying to play a joke. I have no desire nor the time to post these kind of abuses. I've ask Pat to remove from the boards all-together. Sorry Guys!!! NWH

Oh, and Sartell's got St. Thomas Academy in the state semi-finals this week.  Hopefully, both Tommie teams lose :)

Wondering... do you practice at being an AH or is it a God Given Talent?

My vote is you practice!!!

So, cheering for my high school alma mater and cheering against UST makes me an asshole?  Big words for some little piece of **** that just pulled his chair up to the adults' table.

In a word, YES!

Probably wasn't you yesterday then either..........   ::)
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Scots4

Congrats to the Tommies for their playoff bid. Do not judge all of us by "scots fan." He does a good job of making an @$$ of himself on the Midwest Conference board as well.

Looking forward to the game. I was terrified that the Tommies would be coming to Monmouth. I was really hoping somehow we would be getting Coe in the first rd because I fear the Tommies. Looks like two very different, and two very good offenses squaring off. There might be quite a few points on the board. This is by far the best team Monmouth will be playing this year and the Tommies can not say the same thing. They are used to playing the Johnnies and Monmouth has a very weak schedule because of their conference. Right now the weather says cloudy and 55 degrees for gametime on Saturday.

Everyone coming down have a safe trip. We will be tailgating just to the west of the stadium in the parking lot behind North Hall. That is probably the best area to set up a tent for the Tommie fans.

I would say good luck, but....you know.

Quote from: repete on November 16, 2009, 01:39:32 PMIs that a Koochiching County hunt?

Pretty close...northern St. Louis Co., north of Orr, south of Kabetogema.
Rained all day Friday and Saturday morning then turned to snow. 4 inches by Saturday night. We hunted hard throughout, getting completely soaked and froze our tails off. Then Sunday sunshine and the melting snow made the woods noisy and the looney, rutting deer were moving. Good stuff.

Still have a week to go so I'm going back Wed night. Fins, Jr. took the pressure off, so might have to buy 2 turdy-paks at Hull-Rust Liquors on the way.
LBean, you're in charge of the suite, the key should be in the usual place. Veek, you're in charge of TDT.
I expect a dispatch of the Kohawks so I can have a chance to watch the Tommies suck again on November 28. I know the Scots think they're all that this year but, literally, they're in another league.

Check your back door Mayor.  There should be some Hamm's as you know TDT is a man of his word and had to come through on the lost wager over the summer...

VOJ: Excellent rant.  You were really rockin' and rollin' there.  TDT has reserved the Barney suit from the local costume store for the 28th.

RE: Handicapping the Field

Let's get one thing straight here.  TDT is getting bashed for...hush...god forbid...saying another team may beat the Johnnies in the playoffs.  Let's call it a dose of reality.  I tend to consider myself a realist as opposed to an optimist or a pessimist (where VOJ would be classified as a HOMER).  This 2009 vintage is a good team, but I would hope we can agree it lacks the "great" aspect.  Prove me wrong boys!  Like I said earlier, I've seen the Tommies and Johnnies combination probably more games this year than anyone on the boards.  I said a couple weeks ago..ahem...much to W. Clark's ire...that the Tommies would beat SJU 7 or 8 times out of 10 this year.  I stand by that statement.  It isn't that TDT doesn't want his beloved Johnnies to cream the Toms (or any other team for that matter) but rather it is of my expert opinion that should the 2 squads meet again on the 28th that UST would come out on top.  I'd love to be wrong and get roasted (upon which this post will be held over TDT's head as ransom) while hosting our arch-rival Linfield in the West Region Final.

RE: Polish

I have it under good recognizance that the Polish have been ordered in Chicago and will soon be making the trip to the Boogie Down.

Well, well, well...thank you, Mr. President. Looks like I may be able to cancel the Hull-Rust Liquor stop and proceed directly to Tom & Jerry's in Chisholm.

Since you're making a habit of losing bets, and not to look too far ahead, but IF SJU and UST(D) meet again, I'll bet you 3 turdy-packs, that's 90 cans of golden goodness, that SJU will be the team playing on December 5th.

These crackers pretzels are making me thirsty!  ;D

Fixed. Thanks dbh, I didn't think crackers sounded quite right.

In RE to TDT: he's just doing schtick, he's still a hater. Lou Holtz used to do the same thing, except with more tact, more delicious breakfasts, and nicer jackets.

Hey Clark, where's your infamous ire over these mistakes? Or is it not present since it doesn't directly or indirectly involve your beloved Johnnies? Check out the last graph.

From the McClatchy Wire Service:

COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's finished with three interceptions -- including two by junior linebacker Billy Lawrence -- and returned two for touchdowns as the Johnnies routed Carleton 41-14 and improved to 10-0, wrapping up sole possession of the MIAC title before a crowd of 5,111 Saturday.

"You get one point for each interception in practice and two for each one in a game," explained Lawrence, who started in place of senior Ryan Wimmer after Wimmer suffered a mild concussion in a win over Augsburg last week.

"I think that helped make us a little more aggressive this week and it carried over into the game today."

St. John's (8-0, 10-0) will host Coe (9-1) at noon on Saturday in the Division III quarterfinals. The Johnnies were ranked No. 4 in both of last week's Division III national polls and No. 2 in the most recent West Region rankings.

Wisconsin-Whitewater (10-0) is also in the 16-team field. No other MIAC teams qualified.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

This is why everyone is annoyed by Johnnie fans.  Because if you say they're not the greatest team around, especially if you're a Johnnie fan, you get roasted and told you're not a true fan/idiot.  But I wonder why this is, because last year I remember some SJU fans not confident about the SJU-Carleton game and they gave Carleton their due.  Is it only because this is UST and you would hate so much for them to win?

How is UST's switch to dominance already viewed as a failure?  They have gotten much better these last two years and now have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs.  I'd say they're right on track.

There's the way you wish it was, and the way it is. This is the way it is. Perhaps someday there will be a substantiated power shift, Concordia gave it a shot, as did Bethel. Looks like it's UST's turn to make Gags rub the back of his neck. But until a school makes 3 or 4 year run at the top of the MIAC, SJU rubes will continue to dominate on the boards.

But not everyone sees things through rose colored glasses. There's the SJU rubes who cannot see anything objectively and are just so blinded by their love of SJU and their hatred of yours truly that there's a failure to have any sort of meaningful discussion, and there's the SJU fans who want to legitimately talk about the upcoming game, and are relatively knowledgeable. You take the good with the bad.
