Interesting poll. And I must say some interesting results.  ::)

This board is totally dominated by Johnnies I see. That is what I expected. You have such a strong following. But I also see that there really is not much talk about the other team from your conference. One can only assume from the silence and from the poll taken that there is not much hope on UST doing much this weekend.  :-\

But that is OK. You are all probably correct in that feeling.  ;D

Have a nice day.  ;)
And beware of men in skirts  ;)

Hey SNCOLDAD, hope all is well with you. I can't speak for other Tommie loyal fans but this fan has as much desire and faith in winning this weekend as any of the dominants on this board.

Over the past 8 - 9 years we really haven't fielded a team worthy of the smack talk that some of the others here do, (insert any applicable SJU monikar here). We hope to make the jump to a winning tradition in Football just as we have with UST's Dominance' in other sports, (insert 'all sports' competion both mens & womens here). Then I/we can boldly come on with greater confidence and maybe, just maybe we can be as arogant as some of the SJU posters. A work in progress, more to come.

Good luck to you and your favorite team who ever that might be.

Heard Jimmy G.  say on The Fan  that Boyle was throwing "really well" and that he was looking forward to opening things up this weekend.

What time was the interview... musta been with the common man.  Joe six pack ya know...

Whoa whoa whoa. SJU had a coach on the RADIO? Where's Clark leading the charge of overexposure when you need him?  ::)

Don't recall Clark railing on that as much as some Gusties that I know.  But on a unrelated subject the Rochester Post Sports section has a nice article on the Hasting girls JV hockey program  ;)

That response allows me to draw only one logical conclusion: Derek Zoolander taught you to read good. The first two words of that article should tell you it's not about Hastings...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Okay SJU56321,

I apologize but in my world there are only 4 sports that even exist:

1) Football
2) Basketball
3) Hockey
4) Baseball

Things that I choose not to brag about, even if UST dominated them:

Women's athletics, golf, cross country, track and field, SOCCER!!!!, swimming and diving

That's just me.

Bench:
OK, if we are going by those sports-UST has a very good b-ball team, had a very good hockey team, although SJU gave them good games in the past and baseball in Minnesota outdoors in April just does not compute.

USTBench

Just as long as we can all agree that the mention of soccer does not belong anywhere on this board unless it's in a negative way, such as:

"That kid from Northwestern is such a bad tackler, he should just play soccer."

or

"That Northwestern football team was so awful, they should just go play soccer."

Might wanna recheck your source.
Tommie teams have been ranked in the top 10 this calendar year in baseball, softball, men's and women's track and field, football, volleyball, men's basketball and women's hockey.

Basketball last year? how'd SJU do there? I think the Tommies did ok didn't they?

Re-review and look at the MIAC all sports document I provided for you & do a little comparison for the rest of us.

sju56321

Ranked mean nothing-where do they finish.
I don't follow USTd b-ball.
I gave you the stats for the last 9 years in the dominance of the all-sport competition-did you look at that. Enough said.

There you go again, living in the past. Ever hear of "what have you done for me lately"? This is 2009 try to catch up before it's 2010 will ya.

Uh...are they planning on joining the football team? Probably couldn't hurt! 8)
