Interesting poll. And I must say some interesting results.  ::)

This board is totally dominated by Johnnies I see. That is what I expected. You have such a strong following. But I also see that there really is not much talk about the other team from your conference. One can only assume from the silence and from the poll taken that there is not much hope on UST doing much this weekend.  :-\

But that is OK. You are all probably correct in that feeling.  ;D

Have a nice day.  ;)
And beware of men in skirts  ;)

Hey SNCOLDAD, hope all is well with you. I can't speak for other Tommie loyal fans but this fan has as much desire and faith in winning this weekend as any of the dominants on this board.

Over the past 8 - 9 years we really haven't fielded a team worthy of the smack talk that some of the others here do, (insert any applicable SJU monikar here). We hope to make the jump to a winning tradition in Football just as we have with UST's Dominance' in other sports, (insert 'all sports' competion both mens & womens here). Then I/we can boldly come on with greater confidence and maybe, just maybe we can be as arogant as some of the SJU posters. A work in progress, more to come.

Good luck to you and your favorite team who ever that might be.

His handle should make it pretty obvious - he is the father of an offensive lineman at St. Norbs.  (Unless his son is actually an outside linebacker, but pretty sure he's o-line. ;))

I have never heard "dominance" described as what a team or school did for one year. Dominance means a history or winning-just pointing out that doesn't exist.
Now if you want to say won won last year, ok, USt won, Yea.

Bench:
OK, if we are going by those sports-UST has a very good b-ball team, had a very good hockey team, although SJU gave them good games in the past and baseball in Minnesota outdoors in April just does not compute.

Might wanna recheck your source.
Tommie teams have been ranked in the top 10 this calendar year in baseball, softball, men's and women's track and field, football, volleyball, men's basketball and women's hockey.

Basketball last year? how'd SJU do there? I think the Tommies did ok didn't they?

Re-review and look at the MIAC all sports document I provided for you & do a little comparison for the rest of us.

The Tommies have choked in the postseason the last 4+ year in hoops, so I'm really not sure what you're crowing about here. Their best run was last year, when they got spanked by about 20 in the Elite 8 despite being the top-ranked team in the nation. They were 30-0 before that game, but had literally played zero quality competition until the postseason. The MIAC basketball scene has been down the last few seasons outside of Tommieville...

UST is currently extremely overrated at #4 in the nation. They just lost by 20 to a pretty average Winona State team, which was defeated by UW-La Crosse in its exhibition opener.

And here ends the history lesson...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Hey now, if you buy in to the one year meaning "dominance", you dominate in the Pick' Ems!! Way to go you dominator! ;)

Yeah, though personally I think ONU should have been selected over either SNC OR W&J.

All better now.

Whoa, USTBench. Be careful on the Women's sports. But since you brought up Hockey!    :D

What were you saying in that respect?

We may have gotten ripped off in a tourney bid for football this year. But if you want to throw hockey into the mix, I am there. Have not looked this year, but what are the D3 rankings? I will look as soon as I hit post.

Yep, that golf team you have au USTd is pretty good-who finished first agian?

I think UST's golf team fiished far higher this fall than SJU's baseball team last spring (10th of 11, behind MAC??), hockey last winter (no playoffs) or soccer this fall (last)  :)  :)

.

OZ its his alter ego...like the character played by William Hurt in "Mr. Brooks"

He looks into the mirror and sees a young man sporting a UST sweatshirt staring back at him....very spooky
