Have to agree with Duff on pretty much all of his post.......

After taking in several Johnnie games this year, I didn't once get the gut feeling that they were a great team. They had a good D, but the O just never seemed to get above average. So the loss doesn't suprise me as much as the fact that they made a 10-0 run to begin with.

Never got to play Linfield Duff, alway's had to go to Dayton for our asswhoopin, so I can't really be a bandwagon jumper... ;D

and as far as the rooting for the Tom's....let's just say probably not so much. ::)

Since I have already been proclaimed an asshole, I'll lay it out there that I will not be rooting for UST next week.  Not that I'll be pulling for Coe, either.  I really don't care either way.  DOC and WC11, is there room on the Linfield bandwagon?  I even sported a Wildcat shirt with my Johnnie apparel yesterday!

didn't you once wear a Warhawk hat too?

Yeah Yeah I know you would rather pour bleach in your eyes that jump on the UWW bandwagon... but if you are you better hurry it's filling up fast. :-*

I'll be interested to see/hear how many SJU posters will be rooting for UST next weekend. After years of preaching "support your conference" when your team has always been the lead log, I wonder how having the shoe on the other foot might change things...especially when it means potentially cheering for the Tommies in a half-full stadium against the team that just beat you.

I've generally followed that practice but not preached it.

Yeah, and a MUC hat, too!  If Linfield loses, I'll move to another bandwagon.

Congrats Johnnies on a good season.  Frustrating listening to the game yesterday, especially without being able to vent on the in game board.  As they said up in the booth turnovers are doubly costly in the playoffs and it was the ball game yesterday.  No band wagon jumping for me just yet.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I wanted to visit Collegeville this year and stay with my cousins in Stillwater.

Home and home when $ allow, I say.

Back home after the trip to SJU.
Thanks to JR yesterday-great tailgate.
Veek-good to see you and your Dad and thanks very much for gilling the Polish-you do an excellent job.
Good to see, L. Bean, TC, Duff, TDT, VOJ, 105, Dusty, Carbo and the rest of the gang.
I have seen several of those types of playoff games by SJU, 89, and 91 come to mind. I kinda thought SJU was better prepared than that these days.
Coe was a solid team and took advantage of the SJU mistakes.
Gutty performance by SJU's Boyle.
SJU needs a playmaker at WR-hope they find one.
Looking forward to seeing UWW play at some point in the playoffs, Flash can I hop on the bandwagon and have a groovy brew at the Perk?
In the end, still conference champs.

The beets must have gone bad down in Iowa.  First, the Kohawk supporters wouldn't post to save themselves and now they can't shut up for being wankers.

I don't care if the Tommies win or lose, but I wish the players well and hope they play their best games.

New to the MIAC board, but I have to ask all the Johnnie fans a question, where does all of your red-headed (pun intended) step child hate for the Tommies come from? I know it's a rivalary, but at this time of the year you should be pulling for conference foes when your team is out of the hunt. By all means, you're program's the one that been on top of the conference mountain forever. I would expect that the type of hostility that some of you have shown for the Tommies from some of the other conference schools that have been taking their medicine from you guys, not the other way around. Makes me question if you guys sense a potential change at the top with this new coach from St. Thomas? Why else would you root against UST or any other conference school at this time of year? And don't tell me it's because you can never pull for a rival, because that's ds.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I know this is essentially a Johnnie board....but congrats to the Tommies on an impressive performance yesterday.  The ball took a few strange, unfortunate bounces for the Scots but it was clear that UST was the better team.  Best of luck the rest of the way.
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

Double O,

First, welcome to the board.

Second, how long have you been following the MIAC?

Third, What age group are you in? A.) Student B.) 20 something- but not a student C.) Over 30

If you answer these questions, you will have answered your original question.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I don't follow that logic.  What good is it to SJU if UST or any other MIAC team does well?  My allegiance is to the Johnnies, not the MIAC.  Tuck the Fommies.
