Congratulations Tommies, and good luck going forward. That was an impressive performance you put on today. No excuses from the Kohawks -- we just got whooped.

St. Thomas is going to cry like the St. Pauly girls they are after the Kohawks get done smacking them around Saturday.  You might as well stay home the whole holiday weekend or our defense will give you more lumps than your mother's mashed potatoes.  Our backs are gonna run around you faster than your grandmother's gravy around your plate.  Our receivers will make sweeter catches than your aunt's pumpkin pie.  You are going down like your cousin on a...

...ok now I'm getting carried away.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

How is that prediction working out for you so far?

You Tommies really are clueless.

I'm thinking we need to designate purple as the official sarcasm font for those who miss the nuance.

Yeah.  Humor appears to be one of the first things to go.  But when you're intent upon finding a chance to beat your chest, I guess you miss a lot of things.  Good luck, Tommies (at least I'm wishing you no serious injuries).  Other than that, phhhttt.

Charlie, as I said in an earlier post, The Kohawk's are a class act! Your fans are awesome & never gave up, nor did your team for that matter! Good luck in 2010, I'm thinkin' we may see you once again in the future!

Yea, one question. What is the Tommies record at The CatDome?

Its 0-0. What is SJU's record @ UWW? and how does that compare to UST's 1-0 record at UWW?   :)

Does St Thomas have a stud running back? or is the QB more of a runner?

I have a few more questions....but I will have to check those with my secret informant in the MIAC.

I guess we'll all see on Saturday if UST is ready to join SJU (2000,2001,2002,2003) and Bethel (2007) as a MIAC representative who claims the West Region crown and moves on to the Final Four of D3 Football.  :)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Yish, Sartell's getting throttled by Totino-Grace  :'(  Congrats to New London-Spicer for taking down Glencoe-Silver Lake!  That was an exciting game to watch!
Duffman,
Condolences on the Sartell game....still quite an accomplishment to reach the Prep Bow undefeated!
The Tommies were impressive today - they were dominant!!!  Celebrities in attendance (and I am certain there were more than this...) TDT, JJR, Dr. Dirk and yours truly.
Interesting than Morse played entire game at QB-Tracy may have been injured?
With all due respect to Linfield (and they deserve all due respesct), IF UST can run the ball like they did today, they are tough to beat.  Defense was also impressive.  AD/head BB Coach Fritz was taking it all in and enjoying himself in the SW corner of the stadium!!  Wonderfull weather - only thing I can think of that would have better better was playing the game in Collegeville....but I fear the results would have been similar....(perish that thought!!!)
Good luck to the Toms next week in the CatDome...where few opponents emerge alive!!!

That's correct - Brady's knee was a little banged up so they decided to go with Morse

I wonder if usTDT will be flying out to watch the game. With his proclivity for switching teams, everybody in Oregon better lock up their sons! ;) 8)

Would you let your son play for the golden rodents?  On another note, what was the attendance at the UST(s) game yesterday?

the Strib had 3,950 listed for attendance.

Long time reader, first time poster.

In regards to attendance, I was there, and it seemed pretty full; full and quiet.  Whereas for playoff basketball games the Tommie students tend to get pretty load and into the games, this crowd was more reminiscent of day three of a golf tourney: claps when someone birdies, but for the most part, just there.

Perhaps this was a product of turkey comas or students being home for the long weekend . . .

If anyone ever questioned why a team with a big lead should continue to score, have them ask South Dakota State after yesterday's FCS playoff game with the University of Montana.  The Rabbits go into half with a 34-14 lead, extend the lead to 41-14 by blocking a punt and covering for a TD 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter....game over right?

Not so fast as Lee Corso would say.  From the boxscore the anatomy of a huge comeback......it was absolutely unbelievable.  The Griz score the last 40 points in a little less than a quarter and a half.  A 21 point deficit going into the 4th, turned into a 13 point win.
