TDT gone?  For anti-social behavior?  But now who will WW, WaSK, AO, and all the Tommies use to bludgeon loyal Johnnies with charges of being unhinged and incapable of rational thought?

Thanks for that, undeserved but thanks...

Anytime.  I get lumped in with AO, you get lumped in with TDT.

tmerton: I agree, jamming is always a good option, but it's tough to do on a slot guy when there are a couple yards of room in between the players.  Also, as he gets wiser, he will learn to use LBs overagressiveness against them, and then he could get scary good.

It was also really difficult to get him the ball in Collegeville because Morse was simply off target on just about every throw, even when he wasn't facing pressure.

So what is the QB situation at UST?

D. Tracy seemed to be playing well, then Morse gets the start vs. Coe.- So was Morse dinged & Tracy filled in or did Morse get benched, then Tracy got dinged & they were forced to use Morse vs. Coe?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

VOJ, I have to say I think #4 is awfully good and he made me nervous most of that game in Collegeville.  The best way to play him seems to be to jam him at the LOS so he can't get out into his pattern or at least throw off their timing; that way they can't get the ball to him (obviously harder to do with punts and KOs).  But I tip my hat to the kid; he's a player.

I never said he was not a good player...what I am saying is go inside the numbers a bit and many of those big plays came against teams that are not very good...he is a very good weapon, but was he the most impressive offensive player I saw this year against SJU, no that would be Flannery, even his own teammate Wartman had a better game than Waldvolgel had.

You are right, he was held back a bit by his QB having a poor day, but even when he did catch passes he didn't get far.

I never lumped you in with AO...I would not have done that to any of those listed, AO is in a class by himself...

Even if they beat linfield, the johnnies are still better than the tommies..............well, maybe not.

Wow, real USTD love here; you and usTDT have more in common that I thought.  However, even if USTD goes to the title game the fact is that they already had their chance to show whether they were better than Saint John's, and they didn't do it.  And while the game ended up being close, it took two 4th quarter gaffes by the SJU special teams to let the Toms back into it.

AO and USTTDT seperated at birth?  We need an official investigation

Gee, I dunno, I've seen a deer jump over an 8 foot fence but I'm told a cow can jump over the moon.

Which, by the way, is about the same chance of second place in the MIAC St.Thomas stealing one this weekend if they do not play the toughest game of the season each of them is capable of.

I know, stranger things have happened.

Tommy? Can you hear me?

I thought Johnnie fans only measured success by the number of playoff wins?  Bethel wasn't thought to have done much by beating SJU in consecutive years until they got to the final 4.

Either way, should be an entertaining game and the following week against UWW, should be entertaining as well.

Sure. And I bet if you looked at the tape, with the exception of perhaps the very first ball he got from Morse, every single ball was off-target and Waldvogel had to adjust to get it. I'm not saying he would have magically busted loose for three scores, but if Morse had hit him in stride it would have been a different story.

He definitely caught balls. But they were not put where they were supposed to be.

Really??? These blanket statements are why you get the reception on MIAC PP that you do...I think you have to respect a team which has won like they have.  I know the SJU coaches had nothing but praise for Bethel and how they played this year and in past years which saw Bethel win 3 straight if memory serves me correctly.

Not undeserved.  Also would have been my first choice.  Probably would've been a race to the fnish between you and TDT to start out with.  Suspension or not.

Who cares about a game a month and a half ago and what somebody could have done? You play football to win championships, SJU has an MIAC championship this year, UST does not. Will UST have the National Championship, probably not, but we will see. In the end, isn't the saying, "no one remembers who finished second?" So who will remember who finished 3rd or 4th or 5th......

Keith wrote about this concept back in September, in fact. It's an interesting conundrum.

This happens so often, we went further in the playoffs, we won the division, and so on.  SJU should be happy with the fact that they beat UST (again) and get over the fact that they played like crap against Coe.

But what is interesting is what this will do for UST's program.  I think one more win in the playoffs will look very good on Caruso's resume.  I don't think UST is his final pitstop, and getting far in the playoffs so quickly could get him a job offer sooner than one thought.
