Hard to put your finger on any one thing...but I'm concerned about Favre. As a anti-gunslinger from the start, even his most staunch supporters have to reckon the last three games could be a sign of things to come. Remember, he said before the season that his body/arm/rotator cuff were unlikely to hold up an entire season.

That said, we've got PLENTY of other issues to worry about as well. I still say the key is limiting Favre's throws and redeveloping our running game. It's become an afterthought even though we have the "best" (I'd put CJ first, but most wouldn't) RB in the game.

On a lighter note...TDT is one messed up dude to have the balls to do this...

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Well if Favre's arm is shot then that's it.  Childress will stick with Jackson and the Vikes will lose.  Sometime.  In a shocking, inept performance.  How long until Sept?

Childress will only go with Jackson if Favre lets him...it will be an interesting ride the rest of the way...I see a scenerio where Favre puts the Vikes in position to win only to throw a pick and it turns into the season ending loss...where and when TBA

Great games, both the Stagg and the Serra/Marin Catholic tilt.  Too bad about the starting QB, but the Soph backup really did himself proud.

How'd you like the Marin Catholic running back, Chris Adams?  He was carrying some of those Samoan players on his back on a few of his runs.

Clark I watched that.  I was very impressed by the quality of the play.  Incredible athletes on both squads.  How many classes of HS football are there in California?  What class/level was the Serra/Marin game?

Ok it is December 21st the shortest day of the year and the 1st day of winter.  TDT hasn't done a drop of Christmas shopping.  I need help.  What do you old guys like? (Rhetorical question I know, the answer is a 24 yr old with Double Ds who brings you cold bevies on request).  I refuse to fight the "weekend warriors" at the local malls, so the shopping commence tomorrow.  Help TDT out.  Bennie: What is a good present for my mom?  I am clueless.  I don't do candles, perfume, clothes, etc.  Something imaginative.  Make TDT a star!!

Hi Veek.  Hi VOJ.

TDT. the old guys might be interested in a ticket to the Brrriffic Beach Bash at the Shooting Star Casino on Saturday night, January 30 in Mahnomen. The star host is Paris Hilton. :D

TDT, I drink scotch, listen to heavy metal, watch action flicks and follow hockey and D3 football. Am I really the best person to offer advice on gifts for your mom?  ;) ;D That being said, my personal feeling is that once a person gets to a certain age, they don't really need more "things", so I like to give experiences instead. Maybe a gift certificate for a spa day/massage (pampering is always good!), tickets to a concert, the ballet or the theater, or a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. If you don't get to spend much time with her, maybe pick something you can do together. Maybe even indulging a guilty pleasure. A couple of years ago I got my mom a subscription to Martha Stewart Living. She loves her, but she wouldn't buy the magazine for herself. If you want to PM me more info about your mom and her likes/dislikes, I will try to come up with some other suggestions.

There is little or nothing wrong with Favre, if that damn offensive (literally) line doesn't give him time to throw and/or open some holes for the running game this team is done.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Stanbob's right, that oline is worthless. Watching the Titans game and looking at those holes, AP would already be at 2000yds. You can't blame him when the first tackler is making contact behind the line of scrimmage.

Regarding the Stagg. Sounds like an epic game, but when did we become so sissified that we delayed because of snow??!!?? That is what makes football great, battling it out in the elements. Can't help but think it was a little ridiculous and just one more piece of evidence in the mounting case against fb still being the wonderfully physical game we love if the trend continues.

Ditto to the above regarding the Vikes O Line. They must have thought they were literally playing Charlotte, not a game in Charlotte against an NFL team.

That Chria Adams is a beast. I was flipping a little late in the game. They said he also possesses better than average speed, but I never saw him break into the open, so I never got to see if he did or not. Any chance he would go to SJU? ;D  I also liked that little handoff where the QB sort of sticks it into the RB from behind (get your minds out of the gutter). Pretty tricky.

I know no one cares about this other than me but the Johnnies finished 12th in the nation in the final D3 poll.

I bet UWW would have been fine in the snow, and I don't think MU would have minded much either, but it was in the South, so you can't blame them for overreacting to a little snow.

In all seriousness though, this was probably more so that the fans had the chance to get to the game if they were delayed at all.  No one wants to see parents missing their son's final game by a couple hours due to the weather.

Did you actually watch the game?  If you did you had to have noticed how physical it was.  These were two teams beating the crap out of each other.  You don't have to play in snow for the game to be physical.
