Maybe a Hamm's or 2 tomorrow night? The game'll be on in the gee-rodge and I'll be serving hot dogs, chips and peanuts. Stop on over...

I thought this sounded real good when you posted it yesterday fins, but you might want to have some rain checks available for tonight's gee-rodge festivities.  :(

Well we did have a slight change of plans, as noted above.

We're in MSP on the way out - hadn't read the board since Thursday so I missed the news about Sum, Jr (congrats, Sum - there certainly was a bevy of Andersons - exceeded only by the number of Johnsons) and about the gee-radge - but a rain-check seems especially in order.  Sunday was a glorious day, though - all the stranger to find that Fishers had their deck closed due to "cold weather" - WTF?  BTW, Ryan Wimmer is working for DNR in Detroit Lakes this summer so Sum might see him around testing water.

On the flight in on Friday we sat next to the VP fundraiser for Carleton - they're trying to finish up a $300M fundraising campaign!  Maybe SJU could work out a LOC with them ...

Belated HB wishes, fins!

Tmerton,

I hope they didn't give #2 son a diploma by mistake.....he'll be back in the fall, right?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Speaking of graduations, I was at Orchestra Hall Saturday afternoon for the St. Thomas School of Law graduation ceremony. Nice to see my Badger son get his diploma. I have been asked a number of times why I would have ever allowed him to go to UST. My response is that it is graduate school, not undergrad ;). He is the fourth generation attorney in the family. Also graduating was Matt Nelson, a Johnnie All-American OL in 2005. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe Blake Elliott's sister was also a grad.

Tmert, I looked for you on Sunday, to no avail. Did See #13 cross the stage though. Congratulations as well.

Is Ryan Wimmer working for the DNR? One of my customers is the #1 water testing lab in the upper midwest. I wonder if he is going to work for them?

Sum, brewed anything good lately???

Drinking a Northern Brewer Honey Weiss now, that is ok. Just brewed a Surly Furious knock off that I am real excited about. it will be a few weeks before I can keg that and sample it.

Found this at Thomas Liquor a couple of weeks ago. I really like it. If you haven't already, I would suggest picking up a sixer! Tried the Summit Horizon Red Ale and thought that was decent too.

How about you, anything new worth trying besides the Grain Belt NordEast?

Probably sells especially well in parts of Idaho and Montana, due to the "or die" part. 8-)

In case you're not aware, the Johnnies are playing in the national golf championships (again... :) ).   They had a good day first up and finished with the third best round on the hard course.  Details are at gojohnnies.com.

(And the team features a player from The Rapids, of course)

The stopped clock axiom is proven correct.

Would anybody be interested or know anyone that would be interested in buying 2010 season tickets for all home SJU football, basketball and hockey?  They were donated by the SJU athletic department for the auction fundraiser at my daughter's school but did not sell.  We would be willing to part with them for $50 and the money would go to the school.
