Johnnies nearly needed to find a new coach.

From Frank's SC Times blog:

Quote
There was a scary moment at practice Saturday when head coach John Gagliardi was knocked to the turf.
A deeply thrown ball during passing drills took receivers into an area where Gagliardi was watching another part of practice. But the 83-year-old got right back up and said he was doing OK afterward. He was even able to joke about it to his players after practice, warning the quarterbacks to keep from throwing the ball into other areas on the practice field, lest a starter get injured.

Unreported? Guy who threw the ball got cut.

Have to drop a flag here. :-\  The guy who threw the ball was not cut.

But Ed Hochuli just picked up that flag and dropped another: Failure to detect sarcasm on the part of tmert. 10 yards. Automatic first down.  ;)

BDB just finished up an excellent segment on the Western Wisconsin Sports radio show.  What a treasure BDB is to high school and college sports in what I refer to as Eastern Minnesota.  As promised, BDB came through with the "shout out" to his peeps on Post Patterns.

Touchdown T has to call an audible on his attendance for the opening day beatdown of Northwestern.  A 3 day business trip late next week takes me away from Collegeville (Denver/St. Louis/Phoenix).

Does anyone have any firecrackers to light under Mr. Shoes ass?  He is losing more and more respect daily...

Craft fairs, Contiki Tours...  Tomato / Tomahto.  Birds of a feather.

I wonder if the bus is purple?

You know us good ol boys over here in "Eastern Minnesota" still call your Viking QB over there "Purple Judas" and hope that the Packers give the 4 jersey to a 145 pound, 2nd string punter this year, we still think those St. John's guys are way overrated and would have trouble with the top 3 or 4 teams in the WIAC, we think those Bethel kids drink and dance like everybody else, and we think all the students and most of the faculty at all of those other MIAC schools smoke pot way too often, but one thing we can agree on: BDB is a class act and has done more for kids of all ages and athletics in Western Wisconsin than anyone I know.  I am honored to have him as a friend.  Plus, he gives me money for talking.  How many other people in the world would do that?

Being from Stout I am sure when Whitewater wins a national title that Stout by default is part of that win because they are in the WIAC.  You must be joking!  None of the MIAC schools took part in the Johnnies 2003 title.  By the way I love your sentence structure (and.....and.....and,....and,...), sorry I just couldn't help but notice the longest sentence on PP.

Only the Packers would be dumb enough to carry two punters.

Cobbernation, you must be able to see that stoutguy had his tongue firmly tucked in cheek with his comments on the MIAC.

As far as his sentence structure, he's a retired English teacher.

He is pretty pissed off at Favre though. The "purple Judas" part he meant.  :D

Well, he's got a ways to go.  Faulkner could write an entire page without a period. 8-)

just to show im a team player and in honor of faulkner (and ee cumings) this post will contain no caps or punctuation
this item from charley walters column today ought to get mr president going

The University of St. Thomas and Minnesota-Duluth  are among the best turnaround programs of 625 NCAA football teams during a three-year period (2007-09). The Tommies went from 2-8 in 2007 to 11-2 in 2009, while the Bulldogs went from 4-6 in 2007 to 11-2 in 2009.

Only Stephen F. Austin (Texas), which went from 0-11 in 2007 to 10-3 in 2009, rates better than St. Thomas.

punctuation and caps above are walters not mine

I figured about tongue and cheek.  Everyone knows Bethel doesn't party or dance during their four years in Arden Hills.  I didn't try to insult his sentence and that's why I said I loved it.  I try not to take personal jabs at people on PP.  Maybe at teams in Arden Hills/Roseville.  ;D

Warhawk,

Where did you get this from?  I saw that whitewater won last year and SJU won in 2003.  It's on this site check out playoffs on the leftside column on the homepage.

Going to the state fair to people watch.  have a great weekend everyone.

I actually like the technique used here. It is an effective tool when used as he does.

HOWEVER< I will make a motion to our resident judge to throw out this case for lack of evidence.

Touchdown Tommy

All indisputable facts Mayor.  The Tommies are fo' real.  Just wait until the fluff and buff pieces start if (when??) we ever get our website back!!!
