Where did you get this from?  I saw that whitewater won last year and SJU won in 2003.  It's on this site check out playoffs on the leftside column on the homepage.

I think Warhawk was talking about the conclusions that you drew from stoutguy's post, not the base facts of who won national titles.

As far as his sentence structure, he's a retired English teacher.

Well, he's got a ways to go.  Faulkner could write an entire page without a period. 8-)
They all took lessons from St. Paul.  8-)

Poor Paul.  But he had an excuse; he had to write in ALL CAPS and didn't have punctuation (anticipating internet message board grammar usage by 2000 years) ;)

For that fact, I am very thankful. Embarrassing.

Is that video actually supposed to make people want to go there?

Perhaps they're having overcrowding issues and are trying to dissuade people from attending?

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

just to show im a team player and in honor of faulkner (and ee cumings) this post will contain no caps or punctuation
this item from charley walters column today ought to get mr president going

The University of St. Thomas and Minnesota-Duluth  are among the best turnaround programs of 625 NCAA football teams during a three-year period (2007-09). The Tommies went from 2-8 in 2007 to 11-2 in 2009, while the Bulldogs went from 4-6 in 2007 to 11-2 in 2009.

Only Stephen F. Austin (Texas), which went from 0-11 in 2007 to 10-3 in 2009, rates better than St. Thomas.

punctuation and caps above are walters not mine

Dang.  The Tommies beat us again.  I sure wish the Johnnies could really, really suck for 15 years in a row so that they could then go on to qualify for a "greatest turnaround" calculation.  I mean, who would have thought that being so frickin' awful was so great?  I'm feeling more and more like a Barney every day.

I thought it was cool, Fins.  And I'm happy for self-selection (though maybe if they'd seen the original ... nah, never mind).

I like it.  Makes me wish I were 18 and a freshman at SJU again.

For all you JohnnieFootball.com fans out there, Mr. Shoes has been located and will turn his attention to website repair this weekend.  Guess we better get some new content ready.  Perhaps Barney could write a review of the new Palace on Cretin (PoC).

Has anyone else heard the commercials on radio pimping the new PoC?  Joe Soucheray, a St. Thomas grad who hates everything, has been promoting it like crazy.

How about refering to it as Palace of Stpaul, or POS?

You know, boys, I went back to reread my post and must admit the sentence is a tad "overextended".  Didn't mean to offend anyone and certainly don't want to suggest that us poor little Stout guys want to take any credit for all that Whitewater success.  As for offending Bethel, I am entitled as my daughter is a Bethel graduate and my son-in-law is on the staff.  The Packer stuff, I meant, as BDB already pointed out.
