I will have an additional ticket for the "suite" at Clemens Stadium tomorrow (if ROR is unable to attend).  Would any fellow Jay alums care to join me?  Send me a reply or track me down at the tailgate.
Go Johnnies!!!

Anything less than a 4 td win for sju should be viewed as a disappointing win. Same for carleton.

I voted for STD upset, although I really wanted to go with JR and Gaga. Hooray it's football season, plus k for the page, except ypsi.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Not sure what the weather is like around Minnesota, but here in Madison it couldn't be a better day for the start of the season.   Feels like football out there.

I got on and no sound! After a moment of panic I realized I had turned the volume off last time I used my laptop. Quite the blonde moment...  ::)

Touchdown, Jackrabbits!

I wanna know if VOJ went psycho on the kick return TD.  49-7.  Linfield should be scared.

Disappointing loss today for the Knights.  I took a look at the box score and it confirmed what my thoughts were during the audio broadcast.

Aside from the turnovers, the offense played pretty well.  They put up 381 yards in only 18:24 of possession time.  Unfortunately, that means that the defense let Crown have the ball for 41:36.  The biggest issue for the Knights was finishing, on both sides of the ball.  Offensively, the Knights failed to score from inside the 10 three times.  Defensively, Crown converted 10-17 third downs and 4-4 fourth downs.

Luckily, for the Knights, they now have two weeks to make adjustments before the next game.  Not so lucky, things won't get any either as they face a Bethel team that rolled up 503 yards and 34 second half points today.  Time to see how the Knights respond.

Thanks for the recap, was wondering what the story was behind that score. FWIW, I guess Crown brought 21 starters back on Off & Def this year, so they definitely had plenty of experience.

Sounds like BU dominated 1st half but shot itself with 3 turnovers. Broke things open in the 2nd half and had a surprisingly balanced offensive attack.

Stat of the game: 300 - 7. BU yds rushing - Storm yds rushing

BU plays Concordia (Wisc.) at home next week. Augsburg beat them 62-10 today. Doubt BU puts up that many points as they have such a drastically different offense from Auggie. Hopefully they get things fine tuned and stay healthy for conference play.

Fun to have MIAC and DIII football going again!!
