So, I'll be donning purple and making the trip on Saturday.  I've been hearing early rumblings of epic crowds... I've never driven to "The Game" before (always on party buses  ;D) and am wondering about the parking situation... So yes, for perhaps the first time ever, I'm asking you Johnnies for advice.

Now, on to more offensive business.  My cousin (a Tommie Sr.) has heard that one of the Tommie/Johnnie shirts this year is going to be Front: "Tommie Pride" Back: "Runs deeper than a Bennie's acne scars."  I think this is a funny play on the Bennies are ugly joke (the counterpart to the Tommies are slutty), but that it goes a little far... thoughts?

Zip: Last year vs St. Thomas...

Veek: Be patient and quit bugging me for that full detailed Zagat culinary report from the District.  I'll get to it as time allows this afternoon...

Clark: My prediction speaks for itself.  I know what I'm talking about.  Bow down.

From the campus-related folks I have talked to, they are formulating plans to deal with the excessive crowds.  I would expect them to release something in the next few days, but if 15K people show up, it's going to be a lot of traffic for the campus.

I'm actually considering putting my bike in my truck and biking in from somewhere off campus!

TDT: no way was SJU a dog to UST last year. Only in your mind-but that was proven wrong.

Parking and Event Information:  See link below...unfortunately many of the Tommie fans will not be permitted on campus as leashed and unleashed animals are not allowed on campus.

Thanks, and shucks, I thought I'd be fine with a leash.

Ok, I'll take the bait...JOHNS SWALLOW!
Eagerly anticipating Saturday. You guys are really putting the Tommies as the favs? Come on, psychologically trying to soften the blow of a defeat?

ALCOHOL/DRUGS:
-Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the campus grounds, parking lots or venue. No one is allowed to consume alcoholic beverages on University or Order of Saint Benedict property without prior approval.
-Alcoholic beverages and related items, including containers, kegs, taps and beer bongs, are prohibited. These items will be confiscated without return when a violation occurs.
-University regulations on drug and alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced. The illegal use or sale of drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated by SJU.

Is this to be taken seriously or are red cups still allowed? I am to assume Stiftungfest has prior approval per usual?

Bench: Relax.  Just tell em your with TDT on Saturday.  Just don't roll in (like you have in the past) with a Terdy of Hamm's on your shoulder.  That tends to draw the ire of the power hungry rent-a-cops...

Ok just scored 4 tickets for Game 2 of the ALDS next Thursday night likely against the hated Yankees.  Anybody wanna go?

ROR has seen a few of the Johnnie/Tommie shirts already (including purchased a few, much to the delight of his wife).  Perhaps he can fill us in on the debauchery...

Plans are being hatched for early arrival into Collegeville on Saturday morning to secure parking in tailgate lot.  Perhaps as early as 7am....

I'll start the chant now for Caruso as new Gopher coach.

Know all the John fans are praying for Caruso to move on. Maybe he'll take over for your beloved when he decides to hang them up!

Rhetorical question:  Should Clemens and TCF Bank stadiums switch games this coming Saturday? Might make sense, and reflect the accurate level of fan interest in each game.

Completely bypassing its rhetorical nature... honestly, no.  I want the Johnnies decade+ long reign of terror to end on their own campus, on homecoming, in front of a record crowd.

56 to 7...I was expecting a win, but wasn't expecting that.

So guys, going to be in Collegeville next weekend. Leaving at noon from Grand Forks Friday and staying in St. Cloud. I assume you'll all be in the south endzone per usual. TDT, I'm not stopping in Sauk Centre to get Hamms if you don't drink any. Also bringing 3 dudes that have never seen the rivalry in person. One is the director of media relations for UND athletics. Looking forward to seeing all you guys.

Didn't think the cobbers would do that bad against UST this weekend.  Looks like they were without their starting qb for the game for an injury.  Definately not the best place to play your first collegiate game at the #4 team in the nation.  Looks like horan tried a junior and freshman qb at times.

Cobbers @ Johnnies attendance 8400
Cobbers @ Tommies attendance 1900
Must be thrilling to roll a conference opponent and have fewer fans than a Wayzata high school game.
