Warning Totally unrelated vent session:

I was emptying a cooler yesterday and in the process, snapped off the latch.  It was totally my fault, but figuring it's just a small plastic latch, I wasn't too worried about replacing it.  So, I found the replacement part on Igloo's website.  $5 seemed a bit steep, but hey, no big deal.  I started to place my order but immediately stopped when I realized they wanted $10 for shipping!  $15 for a fricking $0.25 piece of plastic that can't weigh more than an ounce?  Wow!  They can keep their dang latch.  I have plenty of bungee cords that will keep it shut.

Just bring a Phillips and a lookout to your local Walmart and you'll get your latch.

Easy solution Clark.  Put your $$ where your mouth is as TC suggests.  He wants a friendly and you've been getting very edgy when anyone doesn't speak highly of the Johnnies lately.  You guys square off to see who is correct...

Veek: Pace yourself this week.  It is only Tuesday and I feel like you're about to have a coronary in your Lazyboy sitting in your underwear at 11pm with a Bombay Sapphire in one hand and the remote in the other while you peruse the posts on PP from the day.  Can't wait to sit with Veek Sr on Saturday who won't be preoccupied with 17 trips to the bathrooms/concession stand!!

Bench: What time are you arriving in Collegeville on Saturday?  Bring some corn on the cobb from up north...
Chasing MILFs since '82...

What's the record for attendance at a D-3 game?  Is it the 13000+ at the 2003 Bethel game?  Or have other games drawn more?  I see the record for the Monon Bell game is 11000+ so that's still short.

Please vote above - TDPT should come to this weekend's game as ...

Barney?

Tinky Winky?

Coming down Friday night and staying in St. Cloud somewhere, so I imagine I'll be on campus around 9. Don't know about corn on the cob but I could probably land some sugar beets.

Why is the Tommie/Johnnie in Collegeville two years in a row?

Veek

Pat - the problem is when I begin a post by using the "quote" function as Tmerton described.  I am using IE 8 but it happens to me with an older version of IE, too.  It used to not be this way but has been for some time but since I don't post much in the off season I couldn't provide a barometer as to when it began.

TDT - Veek Sr is on guard and you won't be able to schmooze your way into his seats.  I am bringing a friend and will certainly offer TC a ticket to join us on the 50.  That leaves one available ticket that most likely will not be used.  Sometimes it pays to have friends but unfortunately you wouldn't know anything about this.  I hope your Tinky Winky suit is rented.  Don't forget your manpurse to wear with it.  Buy some purple duct tape so it will coordinate nicely with your costume.

Bench - since you are spending Friday night in St. Cloud you might want to plan on showing up at 8 a.m. or so.  By doing so you should be able to park right in the parking lot where we tailgate and you should be able to partake in Fins' koolaid before it is polished off.
Go Johnnies!!!

Because we've got more pull with the big man upstairs  ;D

No, really, the schedules have been weird like that ever since Mac left the MIAC.  SJU played at Bethel in 2007 and 2008.  Just some quirks in the system.

RE: TDT as Rachel Ray in purple. I will spare you the food details but if anyone wants DC food tips they can PM me. I'll just  say our pseudo bon vivant was very close to some great places near my office, but misfired. And not getting the half-smoke at Ben's was a serious flaw.

Ok here is the full culinary report for Veek's benefit.

Thurs:

Lunch at Elephant & Castle...decent open face turkey sammich with a thirst quenching lemonade
Dinner at Ella's Woodfired Pizza on 9th St.  Thought this was fantastic and tasted even better with a few ice cold Yuenglings on tap.  Lots of talent there for the Happy Hour!!!

Fri:
Dinner at the Nationals game.  Had a famous Ben's Chili Bowl chili dog.  Pretty outstanding if I do say so myself.  The original location on U Street is an institution...

Sat:
Lunch in Georgetown at Martin's Tavern sat in the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie Onassis.  Pretty tasty soft shell crab sammich.
Dinner at Legal Seafoods of Boston Mass fame.  Had an absolutely off the hook dish called the Louisiana Catfish Matrimony.  Hoping Veek will expand his tailgating menu to include this.  Catfish, shrimp, and Andouille sausage served with Jasmine rice and fresh green beans.  Pretty orgasmic.

Sun:
Dinner at Dulles.  Had the famous Five Guys burger.  Tasty but certainly not in the same hemisphere as In n Out in California.

Veek:  Please advise if you have further questions or concerns...

It would be nice if we had the option to hide members' posts similar to Facebook.  If I had that option I would not have to read posts like this one.  Who in the hell cares what you ate or where you ate it?  Having to read about your culinary escapades makes me sick.

I'll 2nd that!!!

The MIAC schedule is mirrored for two years, then it completely resets.  For example, the '08 schedule and the '09 schedule were the same, except every home game in '08 was an away game in '09.  The schedule then resets, so there is no correlation between the '09 and '10 schedule.  The '11 schedule is the same as '10, with every home game in '10 an away game in '11.
