Anyone know if the internet has made it to far enough north for Concordia to have live video of the game?

My predictions

Bethel over St. Johns

Hamline over Gustavus

St. Thomas over Augsburg

Carleton over Concordia

It hasn't even made it to Collegeville.

Everything's not so up to date in the cities either, though.  Bethel still has only their 2009 Media Guide on their website, and their Game Day Notes are from last year's Augsburg game.
We went through this last week.  The cobbers do broadcast some games, but volleyball is taking a priority over football on Saturday in regards to the webcast.  The Johnnies fear potential playoff opponents having access to more than 3 games worth of film.  Perhaps with a Johnnie loss Saturday and the certainty of missing the playoffs that comes with it, the administration will throw a bone to the remaining loyal johnnie fans and webcast the remaining 2 home games.

Don't mean to call your bluff, but I did see 2 guy's with clickers at the main gate when I entered at about 12....I was givin the guy **** about it say'in I hope it went past 3 didgets....hey kinda laughed and went back to counting.....Didn't seem like 16,000 +  but who knows or really cares....there was a $hit load of people....

I'll also confirm the clickers. I've got a buddy at SJU who was texting one of the official clickers, actually. The last number I saw from this guy (via text) was 16,049 in the middle of the fourth quarter. Apparently another 400 people came in for the final minutes and OT?
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Game day.

GO JOHNNIES

I'll second that.  Off to one of those dreaded in-season weddings, in Wisconsin no less.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Potentially three more home games, depending on where the Carleton-SJU game ends up being played.  I don't see them having a live feed regardless.  I'm guessing there is more to not having it now than wanting to hide game film from potential playoff opponents.

It doesn't happen too often in MN when you can comfortably fish in a t-shirt on an October morning.  By about 10:00, I was wishing I had shorts on!

Decided to avoid Arden Hills today.  Go Johnnies, though!!!

GAC freshman Jeffrey Dubose, from St. Croix Lutheran, is quietly having a great freshman season. He was already fourth in the league in rushing...and he's got more than 200 yards today in what's looking like a big win over Hamline. That could bump him all the way up to second, behind scrubby's kid.

When was the last time my Gusties had a better record than SJU this late in the season, assuming Bethel holds on? 10 years ago? 20 years ago?

Willy, it might have been in 1997. Johnnies were 3-3 that year after Gustavus beat them at SJU. Not sure what the Gusties' record was at the time, though.

The announcers keep talking about 1997-but the difference was SJU had some nice underclassmen playing then. They were a young team in 1997, Moore was a Soph? and Herbst was a junior. LaBore and Novak underclassmen.

sfury

The QB situation was the problem in 1997. Juggled them for awhile before Kern finally took it. But Linnemann was ready to go the next season (I think he was injured in 1997). I think the underclassmen this year will be even stronger next year - Johnson, Awe, Schneider at back, Pederson, Graboski, Lipp at receiver (hopefully Lipp or someone else emerges as the big-play guy) - but again the QB situation will be up in the air next season. And hopefully the D is strong. Tough to blame the defense today, although there were a few times Bethel had drive-extending conversions that killed them.

Speaking of odd teams that have better records than the Johnnies, I went to Columbia's game today. They're now 3-1. Different divisions, obviously. But it's weird living in a world where Columbia has a better record in football than St. John's. Lou Gehrig might have been a Lion the last time it happened.

Yish.  Glad I stayed home and did yard work today.  Sounded quite deflating.

I hope the SJU coaching staff gives a couple of the backup quarterbacks a few looks in the final 4 games.  I understand that they'll want to let Boyle play out most of the season but they really can't afford to go into next season unsure and start out playing revolving quarterback.
