WashedUp.  Learn to read a thread, before you quote me out of context. The quote in question was in reference to UWEC and BU – so in some sense you got that part right.  The discussion much further down the thread then introduces Concordia as a means to make a counter point.  Come on, you are "Starter" status, that suggests the training wheels were taken off a long time ago.

Don't know how I missed that Concordia reference from 33 pages ago. ::)

I'm on the road to Madison right now to work Gameday. Anyone going to the game this weekend and want a tour of the show? Anyone is welcome to come!

So you got MNF straightened out and now they've tasked you with Gameday?  They missed a sweet opportunity a couple of weeks ago to do a feature on the crowd in Collegeville.  It would have blown away their experience with the Amherst-Williams game from several years ago.  Any luck getting them interested in doing something with D3?

An Erin Andrews interview with Gags.  That would be priceless!

There are things more important in my life than football.

Something we should all try to keep in perspective at times.

Cobbernation should lose his man card that is blasphmey.  Really more important things that football? I can't think of any  ;D ;D ;D

At least I have a man card to lose! :D

MNF is still my main show but I couldn't pass up the chance to drive over and work gameday especially since I'm not going to Jacksonville this week.

I actually put in a pitch for Gameday coming to Collegeville and told the director about the atmosphere last night. I guess they have been considering Mount Union for years so hopefully we can get on the radar too. I have a feeling it will happen at some point but could be a few years down the road

Pat Coleman

They will probably be disappointed in the atmosphere at Mount Union, although Game Day going there would improve that.

I'm going to Eau Claire this week and would love to start the day in Madison but not going to happen. Have a good show.

I believe this is the true reason uSTDt will be MIA for the next Johnnie game.

I saw TDT's post a few days back regarding meaningless games for SJU. Before I could post, I had the chance to read over my son's homework and one assignment called for a short essay on any topic. He wrote about football and a very minor injury he suffered (he is 13). But what he said that struck me was that no matter the pain, he loved playing football and wanted to be out on the field. I can only imagine that feeling for guys playing in their last year. So, while the game may not mean anything for some fans, it is important to the players and their family. I do hope the coaches use this time as a chance for some younger players (likely starters next year) to see a little action, though.

warthog

I'm feeling guilty and believe it is time for confession:
Two weeks ago this coming Saturday Mrs. Warthog and I were in Oregon watching Linfield beat up on Willamette.  We decided to take the northern I-94 route back to flyover country.  As a result on Saturday the 9th we were crossing Minnesota.  We pulled off the interstate at Collegeville about an hour before kickoff of the SJU/Bethel game and toured around the Johnnie's campus.  We got back in the car and turned on the radio to the Johnnies football broadcast at the kickoff.  While I was complimentary in everything I said about the campus, I'm affraid my footprints on the hallowed grounds may have cause some bad karma for the Johnnies.  I'm sorry and I truly apologize.

I'll keep it short this time because there's not much that needs to be said about this weekend's matchups outside of Northfield.
