Will I implode in cyber space and/or physical space if I attain a specifed level of negative karma?

I haven't yet much to the chagrin of a few certain posters...

-Just received word that the hated Willy Wonka is no longer allowed to post on PP.  Something about a new gig coaching girls basketball.  Rip away!!

-I'll be in Collegeville on Saturday.  I said the games are meaningless (and they are with the exception of parents, players, & coaches), but I did NOT say I would stop attending the games.  It is Family Weekend in Collegeville.  I predict the attendance will be much less than recent years.  Maybe 6000...

-Bethel vs UST is tempting me.  That could be a phenomenal game in St. Paul (unlike what is sure to be a snoozer in Collegeville).  Bethel's run defense is really good.  I think both teams make the playoffs regardless of the result on Saturday.

-Game preview to be posted later this afternoon.

Yes he was.  I was at their playoff game at Anoka his senior year (even have some video of it) when Lakeville South made their run to the State Championship and they were a very fun team to watch.  Brumm doesn't have the strongest arm in the world and he doesn't always throw the best ball but he manages to get the job done more times than not.  At least against teams not named St. John's, St. Thomas and Bethel.  ;)

Carleton-SJU game to be played at........Laird Stadium!

https://apps.carleton.edu/athletics/varsity_sports/football/?story_id=679533

According to the article, "Electrical power has been restored to the stadium, but the interior of the building is still under repair, so the College will use the Recreation Center across campus for the athletic training room as well as for locker room space for both teams."

I don't know the Carleton campus, but how do you use a building "across campus" for the locker room?  Assume, for example, that it's raining.

It's not too much worse than Bethel's hike, but busses seem likely.

TDT's prediction here about down SJU attendance this weekend and the mention of that again in his johnniefootball.com article made a thought pop into my head: is the next claim of Tommie dominance going to be in the fan base?  Will a blockbuster match-up in St Paul be compared against the Collegeville contest?  If the Tommies pull more fans, will the claim be that not only is the team finally bested but now the mystique of the Pine Curtain is also doomed?

Et tu, TDTommie?

Yes, the SJU games are now meaningless except to parents, coaches and players; sorta like youth soccer I guess.  But why, then, would 6,000 people show up to watch?  Why do people in DC, Oregon and Australia take time to listen to the game on the internet?

For the life of me, I can't fathom why you plan to be in Collegeville on Saturday to watch a meaningless game.  The weather now looks like rain according to the most recent forecasts.  I think you'd enjoy the game in St. Paul a lot more.

Dusty,
Did you mayke it to the Eden Prairie/Wayzata tilt last night?
Tough break on the PAT in OT   :'(
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

SUMMIT!!!!!

105-
Isnt Sasha Doran, Wayzzta's, QB originally from Russia? I seem to remember some stories about him last year. If I remember right (and have the right kid), he and his 2 sisters were adopted about 10 years ago. Very touching story, as I recall.

I will pass on the blatantly obvious parallels between mentor and protege in losing big showdowns in OT on botched PATs. Kiinda eerie though
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Maniac,

I am not familiar with the QB from Wayzata, but you certainly may be 100% correct. I have more faith in your journalistic background/fact checking abilities than most who have internet based H.S./ D3 blogs or columns  ;)

Point #2 about the PAT in OT- that is exactly what I thought when I saw it on the morning news while gettng ready for work today!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I don't think tmerton was trying to slight we listeners in "Flyover" country. He was going coast to coast, and international just as examples. I'm sure you knew that but I figured I'd chime in.

I heard a short version of the Stewart brothers (Chris and Anthony, who play for the Avs and Thrash) yesterday. These are stories you like to hear about big time athletes overcoming the odds to succeed.

Just to spite you Clark.  Don't worry I'm sure you and TimeforChange2 (Hi John!  Don't be shy at the tailgate party.) will miss me at Carleton next week!

Had dinner with Veek and his brother Mark last night at Hell's Kitchen.  They both had girly drinks with umbrellas in them while TDT had an ice cold glass of Fulton Sweet Child of Vine (started and owned by recent Johnnie grads).  I'll let Veek post his full culinary report at his convenience.

Did you say hi to owner and chef Mitch Omer, Anoka HS 1973?
