Freebird;

Not that I can recall, so you need not fear for UST - they'll still get in if they win out after this weekend.

(Good God, I can't believe I'm cheering for BU this weekend.  It's like I'm being forced to pick in a cage match between Hitler and Stalin.)

Oh thank goodness! I was worried UST would get left out of the playoffs  :)

Unreal showing by Missouri this week at Gameday. Definitely worth tuning in just to see the atmosphere.

What a great article.  SJU will be fortunate to call this young man a graduate/alumni.  Well done Mr. & Mrs. Stanton!

I can only assume that John Stanton's mom and dad are awesome Conservatives.  My hats off to the Stanton's on doing a great job as parents.

Well, I think we all know what assume means.

Partly cloudy and 60 in western Colorado at game time. Much snow in the mountains and the passes are snowpacked.  :o

The rain stays away. Tommies up 3-0 and marching.  Website has a good link to a (average quality) webcast.

Another gritty game between Bethel and UST. Far cry from the shootouts we used to have. Old school football, UST eeks it out 10 to 6. Tobin took over for Wartman in the second half and I think his style of running was more condusive to this type of game. Bethel has a great D and I wouldn't be suprised if they make a run in the playoffs. They need a little more juice from their O outside of Flannery though.

Ditto. You must be very proud parents.

Maybe I'm channelling my inner Beavis, or Butthead, but I had to smile as I was watching the Mt Union/Capital game, and the QB's were Seaman and Assman.  Heh, Heh, ........Heh, heh...heh, heh.

So grateful for your concern!

But, I think the Royals may desperately need it now! Good Luck the rest of the way, be nice too beat you in the Playoffs too, if you make it!

If anyone is having trouble finding the woodwork, just follow the string of Tommies with less than 10 posts...

I live a few blocks from the intersection of Seaman and Cumming.

Can I do a little snoopdawg?

Australia is a very small country.  At the number three's ballet concert this afternoon (she did very well, by the way), we sat behind Eric Bana.  I had no idea his kid went to the same dance school.

During the intermission I said, "Yo! Eric!  You wanna drive to the lake with me in my camper van?"

He just turned and said, "Arrrrrg!"

SJU v GAC: 9178

UST v BU: 6000

I'll let TDT draw the conclusions...

Fun game on Saturday. Hard fought, aggressive, clean game by both sides. Both defenses played very very well. Wish the outcome could have been different, but hopefully we close out, make the playoffs and get a shot at redemption.

I was a little disappointed in the turnout. BU probably had close to half the fans (??), and the energy was pretty lackluster for a homecoming game.

Hopefully the olineman from UST is ok. Knee injuries are never fun and he looked to be in some pain.

Personally I appreciated the tenor of the game. Both sides were really playing hard, but it wasn't remotely chippy and seemed like there was a lot of sportsmanship and mutual respect. Everything you'd want out of a marque DIII game, aside from the right team winning next time ;)
