Yeah, cause there's never been any profanity for the SJU sideline  ::)

I guess I should have mentioned that this comment was loud enough to be heard up by the "press box" where Wingman and I were sitting! I would never argue with anyone about prfanity on a Johnnie sideline! Heck Gags can teach a Longshoreman a thing or two!

only people who heard the profanity laced (yelled) comment line the 3rd quarter( I think) as they came off of the Field  by a Carl Coach (or player). And I quote" DO NOT OPEN YOUR EFFIN MOUTH TO A/THE DAMN REFS".

Was this from the Carleton bench directed at Carleton players? If so, I don't see a problem. No need for a player to get a cheap penalty for running their mouth at an official.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I am pretty sure it was some Asst. Coach going at a player. Possibly the Refs advised the Carleton bench that they(players) were becoming a bit too lippy during the game? Therefore the coach's comment? It still was a bit funny b/c at that exact time the Stadium seemed to be quiet and then this booming expletive came out.

From my seats @ Clemens Stadiums I can hear the F-bomb being dropped on the SJU sideline- even with 16k packed in the place  ::)

congrats indeed.

It will be interesting to see next year how they look when they don't return virtually every starter on both sides of the ball.   If they can re-load and be the top dog again, hats off to Caruso.

Putting aside the swearing on the Knights' sideline Saturday, how about the broadcasting of Eminem over the pa system before the game started? If we could only get Lady Gaga broadcast in Collegeville!

So I attended the UND/Lamar football game on Saturday. Lamar is an upstart FCS school from Beaumont, Texas, and probably a little inexperienced as a coaching staff, this being their first year. Yet to my suprise they were out and about Friday night the night before their game in downtown Grand Forks, and ABSOLUTELY WASTED. I mean, they played at noon, and half their coaching staff (mostly younger guys) were S**TFACED.

In full Lamar swag I might add.

Ok, KS needs to know what is going on in Viking land.  Now they waive Moss after trading for him a few weeks ago?  Anybody there hear any ramblings why this happened?  Besides being a complete head case that is.

Now he hasn't been waived?  Is there a circus going on there or what.  Sorry but I used to really like the vikes back in the 70's.  Alan Page is one of KS favorite players ever and it is sad to see the team turning into a circus.

Bench:  pardon my ignorance (and maybe this misses the point of your post), but a "downtown Grand Forks" exists?

Looking forward to a Tommies vs Linfield matchup in the playoffs...

Grand Forks/EGF is approximately 60,000 people. Large campus, industrial park, 2 hospitals at Altru and the Aurora, Crystal Sugar, Simplot, LM Glass Fiber, Cirius aviation, Federal Courthouse, County Courthouse, the North Dakota Mill, $100 million hockey arena, Alerus event center and indoor football stadium and 13 story Canad Inns complex attached,  4 high schools, heavily trafficked airport because of our aerospace/aviation program, Air Force Base, National Guard Armory, new 7 story county office building with nice rotunda, new 300 bed correctional facility, fairgrounds, law school, med school, 2,000 plus acres of park land on the greenway, 7 golf courses within 20 miles, 50 some-odd bars,...

It's not the Cities, or even Fargo/Moorhead, but it's a decent size and equipped with a downtown.

AND...lacrosse may be a fun spectator sport/hockey on turf, but it's still for east coast cake eaters and dilutes their talent pool for football; which I think was the larger point. And ironic or not, not every Tommie grew up in EP, Edina and Minnetonka, sailing and playing lacrosse (although a lot did)...plenty guys from my era were from towns like Mora, I'ntl Falls, Fairbault, Duluth and...yes, Grand Forks.
