I think Purple Reign has had enough Four Loco for one day.

So has Lin's Free Safety on that fourth quarter hit on the Calu Wideout's post route (the one that drew the flag).  Holy balls that was a bone cruncher.

I saw some at the store last night, but I passed on it.  I heard it tastes awful.

Congratulations to both Bethel & UST.

Pretty lopsided coverage in the Star Tribune this morning. UST gets a half page and Bethel gets 5 sentences. I don't expect them to send a reporter to Waverly, Iowa to cover Bethel but could they at least get an Associate Press story and reprint it?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Touchdown Tommy

Ok GHC you'll have a great time talking circles around the Tommies.  These guys yapping don't have a clue what a powerhouse program that Linfield is (albeit 0-3 against the Johnnies).  Time to gas up the G4 & stop in Portland to pick up 11 for the flight to MSP.  I'll see you Friday afternoon for Happy Hour...

I've got the Cats as an early 10 point favorite.  I'll be there and hope the game is entertaining.  Really no tailgating options around the stadium so will be hitting a local St Paul establishment for the pregame beer/burgers.

Chasing MILFs since '82...

If Childress isn't fired after today's performance, then I suspect Ziggy is attempting a Major League (the movie) play.

Childress's real crime in my book isn't his horrible personality or his inability to gain the players' respect or even his horrific play calling.  In my opinion his real crime is that he puts the team in a corner in key positions with no way to improve.  He's probably got this team as good as it can get with these guys, but after all these years he's picked dead enders and leaves no way to recover.  It's like he put the Vikes through another Hershel Walker trade and didn't even get Hershel as a door prize.  It's a mis-management nightmare.

Just bring back Bud Grant; and this time  make him give John Gagliardi an offer he can't refuse.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he were fired this week considering it was the week after he beat Green Bay for the second time last year that he was given an extension which would keep him in Minnesota until 2013.

Also, will Favre play out the season or hang it up due to "injury?"

Getting Favre: a genius move (albeit born out of desperation) with bone-headed follow-up.  Get Favre as he's better than TJ and GB may have made a big mistake, but do absolutely nothing to hedge against the chance that GB was right.  A season to remember last year, maybe Favre's best, makes the genius move look smart.  A season to forget that makes TJ (OH FOR F&$^'S SAKE!!!!  IS THAT REALLY WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT!!!!) the frickin' go to guy.  Childress needs a new set of glasses as he's the most short sighted knob jockey this side of Ben Franklin and the invention of bi-focals.

It makes me soooo mad that I'm actually reduced to the Tommies and the Royals for my football cheering success, as reluctant as that may be.

105: AP doesn't staff these games either. You're at the mercy of what the school sends to the paper (or to the AP, and then hope the AP distributes it).

Of course, I am sure the school sent more than five sentences.
