I've got the Cats as an early 10 point favorite.   I'll be there and hope the game is entertaining.  Really no tailgating options around the stadium so will be hitting a local St Paul establishment for the pregame beer/burgers.

Sounds like someone found some mind-altering drugs in mom's coat. With all due respect to Linfield, aint no way they leave St. Paul with a win.

I realize that Benedictine would likely finish 6th in the MIAC (and 2nd in the UMAC), but Saturday's game showed how potent the Tommie offense can be when healthy. Wartman is as close to 100% as he's been all season, and Tobin is a more than capable fill-in. Tracy is recovered (15-of-16 is good no matter who its against) and the defense is eager to redeem from last year's loss.  Becker, Ervin, Bageri, Dietz etc will make mush of the Cats' offense.

By the end of the game, LU will be wishing they were playing the purple Wildcats from Randolph & Cretin!

I expect Wartman for go for 150+, with 2-3 scores. A big game from Waldvogel is almost a given and the defense will dominate.... 35-10 and you can Fed Ex that in:)

Hmmm, not that I claim to be an expert on St Thomas or Linfield from clear here in Ohio, but the Cats are a 7.5 favorite in OAC Pick-Em's.    And I seriously thought about making them 9 or 10 point favorite.  Looking over the St Thomas season, I've been less than thrilled with some of their scores.

Call me crazy, but I have feeling that Linfield will be heading to Alliance in the Semi-Final with a pretty good chance of moving on to the Stagg.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I may be sharing TDT's drugs, but I will also share this:

Finally. Now hopefully we can pry Dennis Green from the Sacramento Mountain Lions.

I just wish I could find a job where I could sign a 2 year extension, then get fired. There would be an awful lot of nervous fish around here.

I think the game will be close-but (and I hate UST) without the turnovers last year, UST may have won that game. With all the starters UST returned, I can see them winning by 3 or 4 points. But they better enjoy this year, because next year they return to their rightful position as a third place MIAC team.

I'm on board with you HScoach...i'm just happy the Linfield and the rest of the west isn't on the UWW's side of the bracket. although NCC scares the hell out of me..

That is a game I would drive the 30-40 minutes to see-UWW v. NCC-would be a good game.

Quite frankly, I'd much rather be playing the Tommies than the Crusaders this time of year...even though we monkey stomped them last year.  In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see a repeat of the 2004 Stagg Bowl.  From my perspective the UWW and Mount Union are not the teams they have been in the past.  No I'm not drinking the koo-aid.  Just my observation.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

56321, I hope you're on target regarding Saturday's tilt. They've done a good job protecting the ball thus far this season and it is critical that they continue to do so.

I hesitate responding to your wishful thinking regarding next season while we're still in the throws of the current, but just couldn't let it slide. Don't get your hopes up to high, while I am well aware of all they lose to graduation, they still have a lot of guys with significant playing experience returning and their recruiting classes the past few years have been VERY strong.

Assuming Zig isn't successful luring GC to the Queens  ;D, the Toms should field a good product again next year. Before we get carried away, let's get a few more weeks of practice and experience in before we starting looking ahead to 2011.

Not even Cal Lutheran. The Cats scored 42 points in that loss. The D slipped in the second half but has been nails since. Should be a whale of a game.

Anybody predicting, much less guaranteeing a blowout in this game is delusional. Both teams have a very good QB, a balanced Off, a fast and physical Def, plenty of playoff experience, strong lines, don't turn the ball over much and are very well coached.

Barring Tracy or Boehme (sp?) going down early, I think this is going to be a great game. And you can't tell me all the chatter about Linfield being a favorite doesn't have UST, an undefeated #1 seed, more than a little fired up. I'm guessing Caruso, who seems to be a very capable motivator, uses some of this talk to light a fire.

And if you're willing to spend $10 more, there is nowhere in St. Paul with a better beer selection than the Happy Gnome. And their lunch/bar menu has better prices and some great options. I'd recommend the MN Game Burger and a New Holland Dragons Milk or Delerium Tremens. Ummmmmm, so good!

OK, all of you SJU guys, what can you tell us about the Tommies-- Interested in a breakdown of football stuff--not the usual bio on the Girls on their campus !!

The answer's the same: big, slow and ugly. Spend a lot of time on their backs.

Well said. This should be a great game and the Happy Gnome is an excellent spot.

If a few things fall perfectly into place I'm hoping to make it out to see these purple Cats from the west on Saturday. Any chance you guys will be hanging out at a local bar after the game? I would love to meet up for a few drinks.

Hazzben: are you going to Wheaton? I can't make it but if we win I will likely be at the next game
