I just got back from a walk with the dog.

...is that some sort of code for "Just got back from drinking some Wild Turkey from behind the shed"?

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Happy Thanksgiving to All. Truly an Original American Holiday but one the World can also Celebrate.

Cats scheduled to arrive in MSP today (Turkey Day).  I'll bet  that temperature at the ball game will not be a factor as some has suggested.....the adrenalin will be flowing at full tilt if last years game with Whitewater in late November with snow on the ground is any indication.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Gobble, gobble, gobble!  [That was one of my grandfather's sayings and traditions on Thanksgiving.  On Christmas day, he would blurt "Christmas gift" when he saw you, and if he beat you to it, you owed him an extra gift.  So watch out here on the board on Christmas.]

Should be a number of Johnnie players showing up at UST for the game this weekend.  Have a good Thanksgiving and football weekend to everyone.

A bit of ongoing board related movie trivia...

I plugged Slapshot into the appletv and made a rather disturbing discovery, shattering childhood illusions and all that.  You may remember the scene with lots of T where Neuman is sleeping with a rival goalie's wife and they are discussing how she bacame a lesbian.  That actress with boobs flying all over the place?  The mom from A Christmas Story.

I forgot to mention that miacmaniac's dad's misfortune made me think of the flick.  I hope all is well with your dad after he's had a few days to get settled.

And just which part of the movie made you think of maniac's dad?  The scene you described? :o

Whats next Oz, wearing your mother's winter coat with a man purse filled with Zima?  You seem to be on the road most recently traveled by (us)TDT.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

LINFIELD safely on the ground on the banks of the Mississippi, back in the air Saturday.

Undoubtedly UST(d) sucks, stanbob.  I only took the shot because the weak-as-tea Tommies certainly wouldn't (or couldn't, for that matter).

Actuallt, the biggest tragedy of this year's playoffs is that they high quality Linfield banter is wasted in this Tommie creativity vacuum.  And if Linfieldare back here next week against Bethel, the propects for entertaining sledging are not that much greater.

Doing a little Friday afternoon interwebs browsing and found this little nugget.  When Gagliardi finally retires the next Johnnies coach may be... Brett Favre.  The similarities in philosophy are uncanny:

"Favre said that, if he were coach, the team would get away from trying to use lots of different formations and motions, but would instead pick out the plays they do well and run those until the other team proves they can stop it."
