Mike Leach has stated that he would be the perfect coach for the Gophers next fall.  I really wouldn't mind seeing that, since the names that pop up in the paper as possible candidates are low level D-1 coaches who are having success in weak conferences.

I heard a rumor they were going after Dennis Green.  Any truth to that one?

If the gophers want a "name" coach I think he will be the only one willing to come to 'sota.  Personally I have no problem with him getting the job as I feel he was the victim of a vendetta of an errant father.  Matter of fact james made snoop look like Ward Cleaver.

What good does it do if the team score 42 points a game if they give up 49 per game. Same song only a different verse. Does this sound familiar? Wacker,Mason, Brewster - the Gophers could use a little defense to slow down some of the Big 10 teams
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Alas, no World Cup.  In fact, Australia was the first elimination in the voting.  Recriminations are running hot as the gov't spent $45m on the bid and could only bribe one vote.

Many people are quietly happy.  It's a billion dollars down the gurgler to host something like that.  And in Australia that's tax payer money.

One would have to assume that Qatar got the bid based on their good looks.

Russia and Qatar?!?! Thank GOD! I'm so sick of seeing the MLS on espn.  Finally, soccer can get out of my life and go back to the hell hole from whence it came.

When you look that good, I guess you don't need a lot of oil money to get the chicks, huh?

I was pretty shocked to see those results as well. Unfortunately the MLS will be on espn for a good while longer especially since they hold the rights to the 2014 Cup in Brasil. I expect an even larger production and more air time than we saw from espn in South Africa since the ratings were decent there and the time zone in Brasil will leave many games in our prime time slot.

Saturday's game will be on 830, WCCO.

Wow.  Who would have thought that new locker rooms could pay off this big?

I have to admit that there are so many cynical ways to look at this pitiful and predictable bandwagoneering that I'm having trouble figuring out which one to type.  So, when CCO's ratings reflect the same pitiful showing of the Tommie fans what will be the conclusion?

Dave Lee, who along with Joe Senser will be broadcasting the game, has a son who graduated from UST in 2008.  And, UST has been doing a lot of advertising on WCCO radio for the past several months.  Dave Lee has been gushing over the new facilities.

I wonder if they will be placed in the press box next to the obnoxious UST public address announcer so we can hear his every utterance.  Or in the end zone "Sky Box" Pat Coleman and One Armed Scott broadcast from last week.

Good thing for MIAC football to get this kind of visibility.

ROR-

Did the younger Mr. Lee play football at UST, or just party? Was that an oxymoron?

If the Winter Storm of the century, that coincidentally 'CCO is forecasting, indeed pans out who does that favor in this championship game?
