When did the MIAC board become cat fight central for Mount and UWW?  ;)

Is it Saturday yet?

I think your starters will get plenty of rest on Saturday-Skunks and Seventies-as said before-I just don't see this game within 30-much like last week for your team.

Maybe, maybe not. But I guarantee SJU's starters will get infinitely more rest than Bethel's  ;) ;D

Ha!  :D

How about we make it really really interesting and debate something...like...football?! All this talk about which team gets the honor of looking like Barney at the Stagg Bowl is making me sick. Everyone knows Royal Blue is the color of the week  ;)

In response to a standard Johnnie level remark aimed at a fellow MIAC team  ::)

Cue Duffman to tell everyone how he's too stuck up to cheer for Bethel.

If only BU teams actually wore royal blue....not trying to be a smarta$$.  When did navy become the norm instead of royal blue?

That is an excellent question. I've always thought that is really odd.

They made the transition from navy to royal when they put the new basketball court in...although the team still wears navy uni's.  ???

Similar question on the SJU football jerseys...did they ever have a primarily blue jersey, or have they always been red and white?

Thanks!  :D  It will be a cold day in hell when I cheer for Bethel.  Go MUC, or UMU, or MTU--whatever you're going by now  ;D  I hope the Purple Raiders drop 70 on the Baptists from Arden Hills.  Although how that makes me stuck up, I'm not sure.  ???

I have to admit, I was pulling for UST last Saturday against. Bethel.  I was looking forward to:
  1.  Seeing Mount Union play a game not in Ohio or Virginia
  2.  Mount Union putting 60 or 70 up on UST

That said, good luck to Bethel this week.  I'd like to see a Stagg Bowl that does not feature purple and black.

If I was in your shoes I'd probably have been thinking the same thing.

Hazzben-both our teams will end the season not playing in Salem. One earlier than the other, oh well. Guess you will alway have the Region Championship to fall back on.
And sometimes when we SJU guys post, we are actually responding to comments from other posters, not trying a "standard Johnnie level remark" Freebird. Sorry if the truth might be difficult-I have long ago stopped worrying about SJU football and the rest they are getting.

When the Johnnies are in the playoffs, I don't expect supporters of other MIAC teams to jump on the Johnnie bandwagon, so I don't understand why there seems to be the expectation that Johnnie fans need to jump on the Bethel, USTd, ect bandwagon.

Cheer for your team and I will cheer for mine. If I want to join you in supporting your team in the post season, I will. If I don't, get over it!! It is less about envy and more about rivalry... 8-)

I don't think there's an expectation that Johnnie fans jump on the Royal bandwagon.  However, just know there are more than a few fans of other MIAC teams who back the Johnnies in the playoffs.  Most fans haven't been in Duff's shoes, and thus they don't have the same sort of hate for Bethel or the Tommies.  Let's just say that in my book the classiness of Tommie fans who have been gracious losers to Bethel and will back them against Mount, about makes up for the lack of class exhibited from their new loft seats behind the bench.
