Did you play in the 2003 game at Eau-Claire? That was my freshman year and the game that got me hooked on Bethel football. I remember Kirchoff being pretty much unstoppable.

Yep. Scotty was just totally zoned in that game. We had some really bad drops in the first half and he just kept slinging it. Great game and fun atmosphere. UWEC's homecoming and the stands were filled with drunk, obnoxious students who were taunting/cheering/passing out right up to the end! ;D

I was thinking of applying for the Hamline head coaching job.  But only if I can get TDT as my offensive coordinator and DuffMan as my defensive coordinator.  Finsleft would be my recruiting coordinator.  Dynasty in the making.

Must be planning on winning your games 2-0.

I think my buddy Carbo would like the offensive coordinator postion.... he really likes play action.

Well, that was quite a game on the weekend.  Copage (or however it is spelled) sure put on a running show.

Boy, I hope someone really steps up for QB next year.  I reckon this year's team was this close to putting the chemistry together for a good result.  But fell short.

But getting on top of WW and UMU...  That will be difficult.

Only 257 days to Sept 3.  264 until Sept 10.  Not sure which date is opening weekend.

Sigh.

#54533
Sept. 3 against Northwestern.
Sept 10th-Open. SJU could play: North Central, Simpson, Point or UWW. UWW would be fun, but only if the game was at SJU.

Just read this about McMurray's move to DII:

"I welcome this move towards scholarship athletics. I believe that it will help build our academic programs and will encourage student-athletes to devote more time to the classroom," said Fabrizio. "This NCAA athletic scholarship program insures that student-athletes will be more likely to fulfill their academic purpose when they come to McMurry."

In the words of Seth Meyers and [insert past Saturday Night Live WeekendUpdate female cast member], "Really?!?!?!?!?!"

I wouldn't mind seeing that happen too.

I heard Collegeville is the place to be on Saturdays in the fall.   ;D

Anyone else see the Gagliardi Trophy on the CBS national news with Katie Couric Friday evening when they did a story on Matt Hoffman of Rowan, one of the four finalists? Nice story about Matt and the bone marrow that he donated in 2009 to an older gentleman and the impact that it had on the his life.

Good golly.  SJU just beat #1 Wartburg 21 - 15 at the Vegas tourney.
